A blade assembly for a hair cutting apparatus includes a first blade having teeth extending along a first blade edge, and a second blade having teeth extending along a second blade edge. A distance between the first and second blade edges defines a blade gap. A yoke is coupled to the second blade and configured to convert motion of a drive into reciprocation of the second blade relative to the first blade to cut hair. A spring includes a spring base and at least one spring arm configured to reciprocate with the second blade. A guide assembly includes a guide and a spring retainer, the guide being positioned between the first blade and the second blade, and the spring retainer fixing the spring base relative to the first blade, wherein in response to moving the guide relative to the first blade, the blade gap changes.

What is claimed is: 1. A blade assembly for a hair cutting apparatus comprising: a first blade having teeth extending along a first blade edge; a second blade having teeth extending along a second blade edge parallel to the first blade edge, a distance between the first blade edge and the second blade edge defining a blade gap, the second blade defining an aperture; a yoke defining a bottom surface and comprising a peg protruding from the bottom surface, the peg interfacing with the aperture, the yoke further defining at least one channel facing away from the bottom surface; a spring having a spring base and at least one spring arm, the at least one spring arm interfaces with the at least one channel to apply a biasing force against the yoke towards the second blade; and a guide comprising a guide base, an arch and a cross portion, the arch interfacing against the spring base to trap the spring base towards the first blade, the cross portion being positioned between the first blade and the second blade; wherein the guide retains the spring against the first blade. 2. The blade assembly of claim 1 , wherein the second blade defines a depending guide surface that faces away from the second blade edge, the depending guide surface interfacing against the cross portion. 3. The blade assembly of claim 1 , wherein the protrudes from the bottom surface of the yoke and is received in the aperture of the second blade. 4. The blade assembly of claim 1 , wherein the guide base is perpendicular to the cross portion, and the guide includes the guide base and the cross portion to form a T-shape. 5. The blade assembly of claim 1 , wherein the second blade reciprocates relative to the cross portion. 6. The blade assembly of claim 1 , wherein as a result of a position of the cross portion being adjusted relative to the first blade, a position of the second blade also moves relative to the first blade. 7. The blade assembly of claim 1 , wherein the at least one spring arm is configured to reciprocate with the second blade relative to the first blade. 8. The blade assembly of claim 1 , wherein the at least one channel of the yoke includes two channels facing away from the bottom surface, and the at least one spring arm of the spring includes two spring arms, each of the two spring arms applying a biasing force to a distinct one of the two channels. 9. The blade assembly of claim 1 , wherein as a result of a position of the cross portion being adjusted, the blade gap changes. 10. The blade assembly of claim 1 , wherein the at least one spring arm slides forward and rearward within the at least one channel as the yoke and the second blade reciprocate with respect to the first blade. 11. A blade assembly for a hair cutting apparatus comprising: a first blade having teeth extending along a first blade edge; a second blade having teeth extending along a second blade edge, a distance between the first blade edge and the second blade edge defining a blade gap, the second blade defining an aperture, the second blade reciprocates parallel to the second blade edge with respect to the first blade; a yoke defining a bottom surface and comprising a peg protruding from the bottom surface, the peg interfacing with the aperture; a biasing member configured to apply a biasing force on the yoke towards the second blade, the biasing member including a base portion and a plurality of arms opposite the base portion, the plurality of arms configured to apply the biasing force on the yoke; and a guide including a guide base, a curved portion and a cross portion, the curved portion protruding from the guide base and interfacing against the base portion of the biasing member to prevent movement of the biasing member away from the first blade, the cross portion positioned between the first blade and the second blade, the guide configured to move the second blade relative to the first blade to change the blade gap; wherein the guide retains the biasing member against the first blade. 12. The blade assembly of claim 11 , wherein the second blade includes a pair of feet, and the guide extends between the pair of feet. 13. The blade assembly of claim 12 , wherein in response to the second blade reciprocating, the pair of feet slide along a portion of the first blade. 14. The blade assembly of claim 11 , wherein the guide base is perpendicular to the cross portion, and the guide is a T-shape defined by the guide base and the cross portion. 15. The blade assembly of claim 11 , wherein the guide is fastened to the first blade. 16. The blade assembly of claim 11 , wherein the second blade defines a depending guide surface that faces away from the second blade edge, the depending guide surface interfacing against the cross portion. 17. The blade assembly of claim 11 , wherein the peg protrudes from the bottom surface of the yoke and is received in the aperture of the second blade. 18. The blade assembly of claim 11 , wherein the yoke defines two channels facing away from the bottom surface, and the plurality of arms of the biasing member includes two arms, each of the two arms applying a biasing force to a distinct one of the two channels. 19. A blade assembly for a hair cutting apparatus comprising: a first blade comprising teeth extending along a first blade edge, the first blade defining a hole; a second blade comprising teeth extending along a second blade edge parallel to the first blade edge, a distance between the first blade edge and the second blade edge defining a blade gap, the second blade defining an aperture, the second blade reciprocates with respect to the first blade; a yoke defining two channels and a bottom surface facing away from the two channels, the yoke comprising a peg protruding from the bottom surface, the peg is located within the aperture to couple the yoke to the second blade; a spring comprising a spring base and two spring arms, the two spring arms each apply a biasing force on a distinct one of the two channels of the yoke towards the second blade, the spring base comprises two fixed ends, the two spring arms extend from the two fixed ends and the spring base further comprises a pair of linear segments that extend from the fixed ends generally towards the teeth of the first blade, and the spring base further comprises a linear portion extending between the pair of linear segments; and a guide comprising an arch and a cross portion, the guide coupled to the first blade by a fastener coupled to the hole, the arch interfacing against the linear portion of the spring to bias the linear portion towards the first blade, the cross portion being positioned between the first blade and the second blade; wherein the guide retains the spring against the first blade. 20.
