What is claimed is: 1. A golf club head comprising: a first portion joined to a second portion to at least partially define an interior club head volume; wherein the second portion includes: a crown; a support rib extending from the crown to operatively stiffen the second portion; and a slot configured to receive a portion of the support rib; wherein the second portion comprises a polymeric material comprising a resin and a plurality of discontinuous fibers. 2. The golf club head of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of discontinuous fibers have lengths from 3 mm to 12 mm. 3. The golf club head of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of discontinuous fibers have lengths from 0.01 mm to 3 mm. 4. The golf club head of claim 1 , wherein the polymeric material has a resin content from about 40% to about 90% by weight. 5. The golf club head of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of discontinuous fibers have an aspect ratio greater than about 10 and less than about 1500. 6. The golf club head of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of discontinuous fibers are discontinuous chopped carbon fibers or chopped glass fibers. 7. The golf club head of claim 1 , wherein the first portion and the second portion overlap to define a lap joint therebetween; and wherein the first portion is adhered to the second portion across the lap joint. 8. The golf club head of claim 7 , wherein the lap joint comprises a plurality of embossed spacing features across a surface of the lap joint. 9. The golf club head of claim 8 , wherein the plurality of embossed spacing features protrude above the surface by about 0.05 mm to about 0.50 mm. 10. The golf club head of claim 1 , further comprising a weight that is removably secured to one of the first portion and the second portion. 11. A golf club head comprising: a first portion joined to a second portion to at least partially define an interior club head volume; wherein the first portion includes: a wall defining an outer boundary of a club head volume; and a first support rib extending from the wall to operatively stiffen the first portion; wherein the second portion includes: a crown; a second support rib extending from the crown to operatively stiffen the second portion; and a slot configured to receive a portion of the second support rib; wherein the second portion of the golf club head engages a portion of the first support rib; and wherein the second portion comprises a polymeric material comprising a resin and a plurality of discontinuous fibers. 12. The golf club head of claim 11 , wherein the polymeric material the plurality of discontinuous fibers have lengths from 3 mm to 12 mm. 13. The golf club head of claim 11 , wherein the polymeric material the plurality of discontinuous fibers have lengths from 0.01 mm to 3 mm. 14. The golf club head of claim 11 , wherein the polymeric material has a resin content from about 40% to about 90% by weight. 15. The golf club head of claim 14 , wherein the plurality of discontinuous fibers have an aspect ratio greater than about 10 and less than about 1500. 16. The golf club head of claim 11 , wherein the plurality of discontinuous fibers are discontinuous chopped carbon fibers or chopped glass fibers. 17. The golf club head of claim 11 , wherein the first portion and the second portion overlap to define a lap joint therebetween, and wherein the first portion is adhered to the second portion across the lap joint. 18. The golf club head of claim 17 , wherein the lap joint comprises a plurality of embossed spacing features across a surface of the lap joint. 19. The golf club head of claim 18 , wherein the plurality of embossed spacing features protrude above the surface by about 0.05 mm to about 0.50 mm. 20. The golf club head of claim 11 , further comprising a weight that is removably secured to one of the first portion and the second portion.
