A dimensionality analysis method, system, and computer program product, include defining a set of symbols along with a grammatical rule that define a syntax of a valid expression having a valid physical dimensionality relationship.
Opening claim text (preview).
What is claimed is: 1. A computer-implemented dimensionality analysis method, the method comprising: defining a set of symbols along with a grammatical rule that define a syntax of a valid expression having a valid physical dimensionality relationship, wherein a measure of a complexity of the valid expression is minimized when defining the set of symbols, further comprising conducting, via a computer, a search with the defined set of symbols for valid expressions in a data set. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the grammatical rule comprises a free-form grammar. 3. The method of claim 1 , further comprising selecting the valid expression that fits the dataset based on the search. 4. A computer program product, the computer program product comprising a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having program instructions embodied therewith, the program instructions executable by a computer to cause the computer to perform: defining a set of symbols along with a grammatical rule that define a syntax of a valid expression having a valid physical dimensionality relationship, wherein a measure of a complexity of the valid expression is minimized when defining the set of symbols, further comprising conducting, via a computer, a search with the defined set of symbols for valid expressions in a data set. 5. A dimensionality analysis system, comprising: a processor; and a memory, the memory storing instructions to cause the processor to: define a set of symbols along with a grammatical rule that define a syntax of a valid expression having a valid physical dimensionality relationship, wherein a measure of a complexity of the valid expression is minimized when defining the set of symbols, further comprising conducting, via the processor, a search with the defined set of symbols for valid expressions in a data set.
