Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Techniques are disclosed for collecting and visualizing historical data. Messages can be generated in response to user requests to make changes to activities in an integration flow. Data associated with the message can be collected in order to generate historical data regarding the message. Depending on the integration flow, a predetermined time point for generating the historical data can be obtained, and the historical data can be generated when the predetermined time point occurs.

First claim

What is claimed is: 1. A method of providing historical data by an integration cloud service system, the method comprising: integrating data from a first application to a second application, that is different from the first application, via an integration flow, wherein the integration flow is configured to combine the data from the first application with data from the second application; receiving a request to change an activity in the integration flow configured to integrate the data from the first application to the second application; generating a message in response to the request to change the activity, wherein the message includes the change to the activity; collecting data associated with the message generated in response to the request to change the activity; storing the collected data associated with the message; generating historical data based on the message generated in response to the request to change the activity in the integration flow and based on the stored collected data; and providing the generated historical data to a user in response to the request. 2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein generating the historical data comprises generating the historical data for a plurality of different time intervals. 3. The method according to claim 2 , wherein the historical data is generated in response to a completion of one of the plurality of different time intervals. 4. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the historical data comprises hourly historical data and daily historical data associated with the message generated in response to the request. 5. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the historical data comprises one of total messages received, successfully processed messages, and unsuccessfully processed messages. 6. The method according to claim 2 , wherein providing the generated historical data in response to the request comprises visually displaying the historical data on a user interface of the integration cloud service system. 7. The method according to claim 6 , wherein visually displaying the historical data comprises displaying the historical data in graphical form. 8. The method according to claim 6 , wherein visually displaying the historical data comprises displaying the historical data for each of the plurality of different time intervals. 9. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the historical data is selectable by the user, and in response to selection of the historical data, displaying message information corresponding to the selected historical data. 10. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing instructions which, when executed by one or more processors of a computing device, cause the one or more processors to perform a method comprising: integrating data from a first application to a second application, that is different from the first application, via an integration flow, wherein the integration flow is configured to combine the data from the first application with data from the second application; receiving a request to change an activity in the integration flow configured to integrate the data from the first application to the second application; generating a message in response to the request to change the activity, wherein the message includes the change to the activity; collecting data associated with the message generated in response to the request to change the activity; storing the collected data associated with the message; generating historical data based on the message generated in response to the request to change the activity in the integration flow and based on the stored collected data; and providing the generated historical data to a user in response to the request. 11. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium according to claim 10 , wherein generating the historical data comprises generating historical data for a plurality of different time intervals. 12. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium according to claim 11 , wherein the historical data is generated in response to a completion of one of the plurality of different time intervals. 13. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium according to claim 10 , wherein providing the generated historical data in response to the request comprises visually displaying the historical data on a user interface of an integration cloud service system. 14. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium according to claim 11 , wherein visually displaying the historical data comprises displaying the historical data for each of the plurality of different time intervals. 15. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium according to claim 10 , wherein the historical data is selectable by the user, and in response to selection of the historical data, displaying message information corresponding to the selected historical data. 16. A computing device, comprising: a memory; and one or more processors configured to: integrate data from a first application to a second application, that is different from the first application, via an integration flow, wherein the integration flow is configured to combine the data from the first application with data from the second application; receive a request to change an activity in the integration flow configured to integrate the data from the first application to the second application; generate a message in response to the request to change the activity, wherein the message includes the change to the activity; collect data associated with the message generated in response to the request to change the activity; store the collected data associated with the message; generate historical data based on the message generated in response to the request to change the activity in the integration flow and based on the stored collected data; and provide the generated historical data to a user in response to the request. 17. The computing device according to claim 16 , wherein generating the historical data comprises generating historical data for a plurality of different time intervals. 18. The computing device according to claim 17 , wherein the historical data is generated in response to a completion of one of the plurality of different time intervals. 19. The computing device according to claim 17 , wherein visually displaying the historical data comprises displaying the historical data for each of the plurality of different time intervals. 20. The computing device according to claim 16 , wherein the historical data is selectable by the user, and in response to selection of the historical data, displaying message information corresponding to the selected historical data. 21. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the message comprises information identifying the activity to be changed and a change to the activity requested by the user.
