Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Disclosed are a display apparatus with integrated touch screen and a method of manufacturing the display apparatus, which prevent short circuit between touch electrodes. The display apparatus with integrated touch screen including a light emitting layer disposed on a substrate, an encapsulation layer disposed on the light emitting layer, a plurality of touch electrodes disposed on the encapsulation and spaced apart from each other, and an upper PAC layer disposed on the plurality of touch electrodes. The upper PAC layer is patterned to be disposed on the plurality of touch electrodes.

What is claimed is: 1. A display apparatus with integrated touch screen, comprising: a light emitting layer disposed over a substrate, wherein the substrate includes a display area and a non-display area provided near and outside the display area; a first passivation layer disposed over the light emitting layer; an encapsulation layer disposed over the light emitting layer; a second passivation layer disposed over the encapsulation layer; a plurality of touch electrodes including a first touch electrode and a second touch electrode disposed over the encapsulation layer and spaced apart from one another; a first photoactive compound (PAC) layer disposed on the first touch electrode and the second touch electrode and covering the first touch electrode and the second touch electrode; an insulation layer disposed between the encapsulation layer, and the plurality of touch electrodes; and a dam disposed in the non-display of the substrate, wherein the insulation layer, and the one of the first passivation layer and second passivation layer are extending to the upper portion of the dam in the non-display of the substrate, wherein the touch electrode extends to the non-display area along a side surface of the encapsulation layer overlapping the non-display area, and overlaps the dam, wherein the first photoactive compound (PAC) layer cover at least a portion of the touch electrode in the non-display area. 2. The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the insulation layer externally exposed and electrically insulating the plurality of touch electrodes from one another. 3. The display apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising a pad part disposed at an edge region of the substrate and electrically connected to the plurality of touch electrodes. 4. The display apparatus of claim 3 , further comprising a second PAC layer covering the plurality of touch electrodes connected to the pad part. 5. The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein a portion of the first PAC layer between the plurality of touch electrodes where a short circuit occurs is removed. 6. A method of manufacturing a display apparatus with integrated touch screen, the method comprising: forming a light emitting layer on a substrate, wherein the substrate includes a display area and a non-display area provided near and outside the display area; forming a dam disposed in the non-display of the substrate; forming a first passivation layer on the light emitting layer; forming an encapsulation layer on the light emitting layer; forming a second passivation layer on the encapsulation layer; forming an insulation layer on the second passivation; forming a plurality of touch electrodes including a first touch electrode and a second touch electrode on the encapsulation to be spaced apart from one another; forming an upper PAC layer on the first touch electrode and the second touch electrode and covering the first touch electrode and the second touch electrode; and patterning the upper PAC layer to cover the plurality of touch electrodes, wherein the insulation layer, and the one of the first passivation layer and second passivation layer are extending to the upper portion of the dam in the non-display of the substrate, wherein the touch electrode extends to the non-display area along a side surface of the encapsulation layer overlapping the non-display area, and overlaps the dam, wherein the upper PAC layer cover at least a portion of the touch electrode in the non-display area. 7. The method of claim 6 , wherein the patterning of the upper PAC layer comprises externally exposing an insulation layer electrically disconnecting the plurality of touch electrodes. 8. The method of claim 7 , further comprising, after the patterning of the upper PAC layer, performing dry etching on an upper portion to remove metal or foreign materials remaining between the plurality of touch electrodes on the insulation layer. 9. The method of claim 8 , wherein the forming of the plurality of touch electrodes further comprises forming a pad part disposed on the substrate and electrically connected to the plurality of touch electrodes, and the forming of the upper PAC layer further comprises forming a touch electrode PAC layer covering an upper portion of each of the plurality of touch electrodes connected to the pad part. 10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the forming of the upper PAC layer further comprises forming a halftone PAC layer on the pad part. 11. The method of claim 10 , further comprising, after the patterning of the upper PAC layer, performing dry etching on an upper portion to remove the halftone PAC layer. 12. The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first photoactive compound (PAC) layer overlaps the dam in the non-display area. 13. The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the insulation layer is extending to the non-display of the substrate and overlaps the dam. 14. The display apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the insulation layer is extending to the pad part disposed at an edge region of the substrate. 15. The display apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the first insulation layer is extending to the pad part disposed at an edge region of the substrate. 16. The display apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the second PAC layer disposed between the dam and the part part.
