In a vehicle seat, a movable frame provided at a front end portion of a stationary frame is configured to be slidable frontward and rearward between a first position and a second position frontward of the first position. An outer covering provided to extend frontward from an upper side of the stationary frame is configured to wrap around a front end portion of the movable frame. First and second straps are provided to extend rearward from a front end of the outer covering and configured to pull the front end of the outer covering rearward. The front end of the outer covering from which the first and second straps extend is arranged under the stationary frame. The first strap and the second strap are in positions spaced out laterally from each other. The first strap and the second strap are being pulled laterally inward.

What is claimed is: 1. A vehicle seat comprising: a stationary frame; a movable frame provided at a front end portion of the stationary frame and configured to be slidable frontward and rearward between a first position and a second position that is frontward of the first position; an outer covering provided to extend frontward from an upper side of the stationary frame and configured to wrap around a front end portion of the movable frame, the outer covering having a front end arranged under the stationary frame; a first strap provided to extend rearward from the front end of the outer covering and configured to pull the front end of the outer covering rearward; and a second strap provided to extend rearward from the front end of the outer covering and configured to pull the front end of the outer covering rearward, wherein the first strap and the second strap are in positions spaced out laterally from each other, wherein the first strap and the second strap are being pulled laterally inward. 2. The vehicle seat according to claim 1 , further comprising: a first engageable portion provided under the stationary frame and configured to allow the first strap to be hitched around the first engageable portion whereby a direction of extension of the first strap is changed; and a second engageable portion provided under the stationary frame and configured to allow the second strap to be hitched around the second engageable portion whereby a direction of extension of the second strap is changed. 3. The vehicle seat according to claim 2 , wherein the first strap includes two first belts laid over each other with the first engageable portion disposed between the first belts, the first belts having far end portions farther away from the front end of the outer covering, the far end portions of the first belts being joined together, and wherein the second strap includes two second belts laid over each other with the second engageable portion disposed between the second belts, the second belts having far end portions farther away from the front end of the outer covering, the far end portions of the second belts being joined together. 4. The vehicle seat according to claim 2 , wherein the first engageable portion and the second engageable portion each include a metal rod that extends obliquely at an angle of 45 degrees with respect to a front-rear direction. 5. The vehicle seat according to claim 2 , wherein the first engageable portion and the second engageable portion are arranged to intersect one and same plane perpendicular to a front-rear direction. 6. The vehicle seat according to claim 2 , wherein the stationary frame includes a pair of left and right side frames and a plate-shaped pan frame connecting front end portions of the left and right side frames, and wherein the first engageable portion and the second engageable portion are provided on an underside of the pan frame. 7. The vehicle seat according to claim 1 , wherein the first strap and the second strap each include a belt-shaped member. 8. The vehicle seat according to claim 1 , further comprising a drive source provided under the stationary frame to drive the movable frame, wherein the first strap is arranged to extend rearward from the front end of the outer covering at a first side of the drive source and further extend laterally inwardly at a rear side of the drive source, and wherein the second strap is arranged to extend rearward from the front end of the outer covering at a second side of the drive source and further extend laterally inwardly at the rear side of the drive source, the first and second sides being opposite sides of the drive source. 9. The vehicle seat according to claim 1 , wherein distal ends of the first strap and the second strap are connected to each other. 10. The vehicle seat according to claim 1 , wherein distal ends of the first strap and the second strap are connected to each other via a connecting member. 11. The vehicle seat according to claim 10 , wherein the connecting member includes a spring. 12. The vehicle seat according to claim 10 , further comprising a plastic cover member, wherein the connecting member includes a metal part that is covered with the plastic cover member.
