Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

An X-Y interaction (XYI) facilitates rapid relationship pairing by creating tap or selection zones that intersect variables. The y-axis contains an indefinite number of variables (items) that can be assigned to x-axis variables (groups). “Items” are individual bits of information or data, like a transaction, song, item, or a to-do task. “Groups” are predefined buckets that apply specific rules or actions or represent specific things or people. Items get assigned to groups, and then the rules are applied to them. Items along the y-axis can be organized based on where along an x-axis a user selects an item. The selection can be by tapping, and one item can be selected for multiple groups.

The invention claimed is: 1. A system, comprising: a non-transitory memory; and one or more hardware processors coupled to the non-transitory memory and configured to read instructions from the non-transitory memory to cause the system perform operations comprising: providing a display on a computing device by a service provider associated with the system, wherein the display comprises a plurality of horizontal rows of entries along a vertical dimension of the display, each row of the plurality of horizontal rows of entries comprising an alphanumeric description, and a plurality of actions along a horizontal dimension of the display, wherein the alphanumeric description spans across the plurality of actions; detecting an input to the display; determining the input is detected on a first horizontal location of the alphanumeric description of an entry from the plurality of horizontal rows of entries displayed, wherein the first horizontal location aligns vertically with an action from the plurality of actions displayed; determining the alphanumeric description of the entry is associated with an account; performing the action for the account; and updating, based on the input, the display with a message associated with the action based on the performing the action for the account, wherein the message is updated within the first horizontal location of the alphanumeric description within the one of the rows of the plurality of horizontal rows of entries. 2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise: determining a second input detected on a second horizontal location of a second alphanumeric description of a second entry from the plurality of horizontal rows of entries displayed, wherein the second horizontal location aligns vertically with a second action from the plurality of actions displayed; determining the second alphanumeric description of the second entry indicates a second account; and performing the second action for the second account. 3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the alphanumeric description comprises at least one of a date and time associated with the entry, a name associated with the account, an identifier associated with the entry, and/or an amount associated with the entry. 4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the display comprises a touch-screen display, wherein the input is detected through the touch-screen display, and wherein the operations further comprise: determining a color shade that corresponds with the action performed for the account; and displaying the entry with the color shade determined. 5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise: determining a request to filter a set of entries based at least on one or more search terms entered with the display; and causing the display to provide the plurality of horizontal rows of entries based at least on the request determined. 6. The system of claim 1 , wherein a plurality of songs corresponds to the plurality of horizontal rows of entries and a plurality of playlists correspond to the plurality of actions, wherein a song from the plurality of songs corresponds to the entry with the alphanumeric description, and wherein the action performed causes the song to be added to a playlist from the plurality of playlists. 7. The system of claim 1 , wherein each entry of the plurality of horizontal rows of entries is configured to be moved from a first location of the display to a second location of the display based at least on a drag and drop input detected by the display. 8. A non-transitory machine-readable medium having stored thereon machine-readable instructions executable to cause a machine to perform operations comprising: providing a display on a computing device by a service provider, wherein the display comprises a plurality of horizontal rows of entries along a vertical dimension of the display, each row of the plurality of horizontal rows of entries comprising an alphanumeric description, and a plurality of actions along a horizontal dimension of the display, wherein the alphanumeric description spans across the plurality of actions; detecting an input to the display; determining the input is detected on a first horizontal location of the alphanumeric description of an entry from the plurality of horizontal rows of entries displayed, wherein the first horizontal location aligns vertically with an action from the plurality of actions displayed; determining the alphanumeric description of the entry is associated with an account; performing the action for the account; and updating, based on the input, the display with a message associated with the action based on the performing the action for the account, wherein the message is updated within the first horizontal location of the alphanumeric description within the one of the rows of the plurality of horizontal rows of entries. 9. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise: determining a second input detected on a second horizontal location of a second alphanumeric description of a second entry from the plurality of horizontal rows of entries displayed, wherein the second horizontal location aligns vertically with a second action from the plurality of actions displayed; determining the second alphanumeric description of the second entry indicates a second account; and performing the second action for the second account. 10. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the alphanumeric description comprises at least one of a date and time associated with the entry, a first name and a last name associated with the account, an identification code associated with the entry, and/or an amount associated with the entry. 11. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the display comprises a touch-screen display, wherein the input is detected through the touch-screen display, and wherein the operations further comprise: determining a highlight color that corresponds with the action performed for the account; and displaying the entry with the highlight color determined. 12. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise: determining a request to filter a set of entries based at least on one or more search terms entered with the display; and causing the display to provide the plurality of horizontal rows of entries based at least on the request determined. 13. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein a plurality of tasks corresponds to the plurality of horizontal rows of entries and a plurality of task lists corresponds to the plurality of actions, wherein a task from the plurality of tasks corresponds to the entry with the alphanumeric description, and wherein the action performed causes the task to be added to the task list. 14. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein each entry of the plurality of horizontal rows of entries is configured to be moved from a first location of the display to a second location of the display based at least on a drag and drop input detected by the display. 15. A method, comprising: providing a display on a computing device by a service provider, wherein the display comprises a plurality of horizontal rows of entries along a vertical dimension of the display, each row of the plurality of horizontal rows of entries comprising an alphanumeric description, and a plurality of actions along a horizontal dimension of the display, wherein the alphanumeric description spans across the plurality of actions; detec
