The invention claimed is: 1. A joint sealing tape for sealing a joint between a first component and a second component, said joint sealing tape comprising: a connection section; and a first sealing section and a second sealing section coupled to respective sides of the connection section, each of the first sealing section and the second sealing section comprising an intumescent material extending in a longitudinal direction of said connection section, wherein said connection section has a perforation, and wherein said perforation is located within a central portion of said connection section when in an uninstalled state, said perforation allowing a distance to increase between the first sealing section and the second sealing section when the first sealing section and the second sealing section are separated along said perforation and installed together in an installed state. 2. The joint sealing tape according to claim 1 , wherein each of the first sealing section and the second sealing section has a rectangular profile. 3. The joint sealing tape according to claim 1 , wherein said joint sealing tape is configured as an external sealing tape. 4. The joint sealing tape according to claim 1 , wherein said joint sealing tape is suitable for reliable sealing a building joint between two adjacent components. 5. The joint sealing tape according to claim 1 , wherein separation of the first sealing section from the second sealing section along said perforation allows for the joint sealing tape to change size the change in size corresponding to a size of a connection joint to which the joint sealing tape is to be attached in the installed state. 6. The joint sealing tape according to claim 1 , wherein said joint perforation allows separation between the first sealing section and the second sealing section by pulling apart. 7. The joint sealing tape according to claim 5 , wherein said perforation allows separation between the first sealing section and the second sealing section without use of a tool. 8. The joint sealing tape according to claim 1 , wherein each of the first sealing section and the second sealing section has a solid profile. 9. The joint sealing tape according to claim 1 , wherein the first sealing element the second sealing element and the connection section have a one-piece construction at least during the uninstalled state. 10. The joint sealing tape according to claim 1 , wherein the connection section comprises a plastic film. 11. The joint sealing tape according to claim 1 , wherein the connection section comprises a contact region. 12. A joint sealing tape, comprising: a sealing section with first and second areas; and a connection section coupled to the sealing section at a location between the first and second areas, wherein the connection section comprises at least one perforation in an uninstalled state, the at least one perforation serving as a cut line to change a width between the first area and the second area of the sealing section to conform to different connection joint widths, and wherein the first area and the second area of the sealing section form a seal when the cut line corresponding to the at least one perforation is cut in an installed state. 13. The joint sealing tape of claim 12 , further comprising: at least one fastener to attach the sealing section to seal a connection joint, wherein the at least one fastener is on at least one of the connection section and the sealing section at an area different from a location of the at least one perforation. 14. The joint sealing tape of claim 12 , wherein each of the first area and the second area of the sealing section is a continuous surface that excludes holes. 15. The joint sealing tape of claim 12 , wherein the at least one perforation is at a central location of the connection section. 16. The joint sealing tape of claim 12 , wherein at least a portion of each of the first area and the second area include a foldable surface that conforms to a shape of a surface of a surface to which the joint sealing tape is attached. 17. The joint sealing tape of claim 12 , wherein the sealing section includes an intumescent material. 18. The joint sealing tape of claim 12 , wherein the first area and the second area are coupled to respective portions of the connection section in the installed state. 19. The joint sealing tape of claim 18 , wherein the first area and the second area of the sealing section represent complementary portions of the joint sealing tape that seal respective areas of a same connection joint when the cut line corresponding to the at least one perforation is cut in the installed state.
