A blender system includes a blender base that is selectively and operably engaged with a container. The blender base may include a housing that houses a motor operatively driving a mixing blade, and a fan. The fan may operate independent of the motor. The fan may force air through the blender base to cool the motor and other operative components of the blender base.

What is claimed is: 1. A blender system comprising: a blending container comprising a blade assembly; a blender base operatively attachable to the blending container and comprising: a housing comprising a pedestal configured to receive the container; a first motor disposed within the housing, wherein the first motor comprises a splined coupler and operatively drives the blade assembly; and an auxiliary fan located below the pedestal, the auxiliary fan comprising at least one fan blade and operatively driven by a second motor to dissipate heat away from the first motor. 2. The blender system of claim 1 , wherein the blender base further comprises at least one air inlet and at least one exhaust. 3. The blender system of claim 2 , wherein the auxiliary fan is disposed proximal the at least one air inlet such that the auxiliary fan pushes air through the blender base. 4. The blender system of claim 2 , wherein the auxiliary fan is disposed proximal the at least one exhaust such that the auxiliary fan pulls air through the blender base. 5. The blender system of claim 1 , further comprising a second fan comprising a second at least one fan blade and operatively coupled to the first motor. 6. The blender system of claim 1 , further comprising a controller that operatively controls the auxiliary fan. 7. The blender system of claim 6 , further wherein the controller operatively controls the auxiliary fan at a different speed than the first motor. 8. The blender system of claim 1 , wherein the blender base further comprises at least one sensor operatively sensing a parameter of the blender system. 9. The blender system of claim 8 , wherein the at least one sensor comprises a heat sensor. 10. The blender system of claim 1 , wherein the first motor comprises a brushless motor. 11. A blender system comprising: a blending container comprising a blade assembly; a blender base comprising a housing that includes a top and a bottom, wherein the top is operatively configured to receive the blending container; a first motor disposed in the blender base and operatively configured to drive the blade assembly coupled to the blending container; a first set of fan blades disposed in the blender base and below the top such that the first set of fan blades are operatively disposed below the blade assembly when the blending container is operatively positioned on the blender base; and at least one controller coupled to at least one of the first motor or the first set of fan blades, wherein the controller operatively controls driving the first set of fan blades that is at least one of a different speed than the first motor or at a time when the first motor is not operating. 12. The blender system of claim 11 , further comprising a second motor attached to and operatively driving the first set of fan blades. 13. The blender system of claim 12 , further comprising a second set of fan blades operatively coupled to the first motor, wherein the first motor operatively drives the second set of fan blades. 14. The blender system of claim 11 , wherein the controller operatively determines a contents within the blending container and operatively determines an operating parameter of the first set of fan blades based at least in part on the contents. 15. A blending system comprising: a blending container comprising a mixing blade; a blender base comprising a housing including a pedestal that is operatively attachable to the blending container, a first motor comprising a drive shaft extending towards the container and operatively driving the mixing blade, and an auxiliary fan comprising at least one fan blade, wherein the auxiliary fan is disposed below the pedestal such that the auxiliary fan is disposed below the blending container when the blending container is operatively attached to the housing of the blender base, wherein the auxiliary fan comprises a second motor that operatively rotates the auxiliary fan at a speed that is different from a speed of the first motor and wherein the auxiliary fan is operatively positioned to force air towards the first motor. 16. The blending system of claim 15 , further comprising a controller that operatively determines an operating parameter for the auxiliary fan based on at least one of sensed input or user input. 17. The blending system of claim 16 , wherein the controller operatively determines a temperature within the blender base as the sensed input. 18. The blending system of claim 16 , wherein the controller operatively determines a speed of the first motor as the sensed input. 19. The blending system of claim 16 , wherein the controller operatively determines a power usage of the blending system and operatively determines at least one of the speed of the auxiliary fan or a time at which to operate the auxiliary fan based on the power usage.
