Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

The method for producing a polymer for an electronic material according to the present invention comprises a polymerization step of obtaining a polymer by polymerizing a monomer(s) and a purification step of adding a strong acid having 0 or less pKa to the polymer solution and subsequently performing an ion exchange treatment to reduce the concentration of the metal ion impurities.

First claim

The invention claimed is: 1. A method for producing a polymer for an electronic material comprising: a polymerization step of obtaining a polymer by radical polymerizing an oxystyrene-based monomer with a (meth)acrylate-based monomer; and a purification step of adding a strong acid having 0 or less pKa to the polymer solution and subsequently performing an ion exchange treatment to reduce the concentration of metal ion impurities. 2. The method for producing a polymer for an electronic material according to claim 1 , wherein the strong acid is at least one selected from the group consisting of organic sulfonic acid, sulfuric acid, and trifluoroacetic acid. 3. The method for producing a polymer for an electronic material according to claim 1 , wherein the strong acid is at least one organic sulfonic acid selected from the group consisting of trifluoro methanesulfonic acid, methanesulfonic acid, and p-toluenesulfonic acid.
