What is claimed is: 1. A breathing assistance apparatus comprising: a main body comprising a cavity, the main body comprising a front portion positioned forward of a rear portion; a lid configured to rotate between an opened position and a closed position closing the cavity, the lid being separable from the main body from an attached state to a detached state in a detachment direction; a hinge assembly connecting the lid to the rear portion of the main body, the hinge assembly comprising: a post mounted to one of the lid or the main body; a support mounted to the other of the lid or the main body, wherein the support is configured to receive at least a portion of the post; a cam structure; and a guide structure configured to interface with the cam structure to draw the lid forward into the attached state; the guide structure and the cam structure located forward of the post when the lid is in the closed position, wherein when the lid is moved from the detached state to the attached state, the lid slides toward the front portion of the main body such that the support receives the at least the portion of the post. 2. The breathing apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the post is mounted to the lid and the support is mounted to the main body. 3. The breathing apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the post is mounted to the main body and the support is mounted to the post. 4. The breathing apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the support comprises a recess configured to receive the at least the portion of the post. 5. The breathing apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the hinge comprises a clip extending along at least an axial length of the post. 6. The breathing apparatus of claim 5 , wherein the post is captured between the clip and the support. 7. The breathing apparatus of claim 1 , wherein when the lid is in the opened position, the lid is separable from the main body with application of a sufficient force without breakage of either the support or the post. 8. The breathing apparatus of claim 1 , wherein when the lid is in the opened position, the guide structure is sufficiently spaced from the cam structure such that movement of the lid in the detachment direction is permitted. 9. The breathing apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the cam structure comprises a sloping surface such that the cam structure tapers toward a tip. 10. The breathing apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the guide structure comprises an opposing surface configured to interface with the sloping surface of the cam structure. 11. The breathing apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the cam structure and the guide structure are configured to resist movement of the lid relative to the main body in the detachment direction when the lid is in an at least partially closed position. 12. The breathing apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the detachment direction is a rearward direction. 13. The breathing apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the lid is configured to move from the detached state to the attached state as the lid is rotated from the opened position to the closed position. 14. A breathing assistance apparatus comprising: a main body comprising a cavity, the main body comprising a front portion positioned forward of a rear portion; a lid configured to rotate between an opened position and a closed position closing the cavity, the lid being separable from the main body from an attached state to a detached state in a detachment direction; a hinge assembly connecting the lid to the rear portion of the main body, the hinge assembly comprising: a post mounted to one of the lid or the main body; a support mounted to the other of the lid or the main body, wherein the support is configured to receive at least a portion of the post; a cam structure; and a guide structure configured to interface with the cam structure, the guide structure and the cam structure located forward of the post when the lid is in the closed position, wherein the guide structure only interfaces with the cam structure during movement between the attached state and the detached state; wherein when the lid is moved from the detached state to the attached state, the lid slides toward the front portion of the main body such that the support receives the at least the portion of the post.
