Official abstract text for this publication.
A display substrate, a manufacturing method thereof, a display panel, and a display device are disclosed. The display substrate includes a display region and a non-display region located around the display region, the display substrate includes: a base substrate and a black matrix located in the non-display region on the base substrate; at least one concave portion is located in the black matrix, and the at least one concave portion is filled with a non-transparent insulating material.

What is claimed is: 1. A manufacturing method of a display substrate, wherein the display substrate comprises a display area and a non-display area located around the display area, the manufacturing method comprises: providing a base substrate; forming a black matrix located in the non-display area on the base substrate; forming at least one concave portion in the black matrix located in the non-display area; and filling an insulating material in the at least one concave portion, wherein a color of the insulating material is capable of becoming non-transparent, and the insulating material is a photoresist material doped with a thermosensitive color changing material; wherein filling the insulating material in the at least one concave portion comprises: doping 20% to 30% of the thermosensitive color changing material into the photoresist material by a physical doping method, wherein the thermosensitive color changing material comprises basic copper carbonate; and filling the photoresist material doped with the thermosensitive color changing material in the at least one concave portion by a patterning process. 2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein each of the at least one concave portion is an annular slot surrounding the display area. 3. The method according to claim 1 , wherein filling the insulating material in the at least one concave portion is performed such that the non-transparent insulating material is protruded from a surface of the black matrix away from the base substrate in a direction perpendicular to the base substrate. 4. The method according to claim 1 , wherein a resistivity of the photoresist material is different from a resistivity of the black matrix by more than 5 orders of magnitude. 5. The method according to claim 1 , further comprising, after filling the insulating material in the at least one concave portion, heating the photoresist material doped with the thermosensitive color changing material to make the thermosensitive color changing material become non-transparent.
