Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Systems and methods for adjusting cell site parameters are described. The systems and methods cause a map of a geographical area to be displayed, access known or stored location coordinates for antennas at a cell site that is located within the of the geographical area, and present display elements representing the antennas at first positions within the displayed map that correspond to the known location coordinates for the antennas at the cell site. In response to input received from a user, the systems and methods adjust the known location coordinates for the antennas at the cell sites to new location coordinates associated with second positions of the display elements within the displayed map. Further details are described herein.

What is claimed is: 1. A system, comprising: at least one hardware computer, wherein the hardware computer is configured to execute software instructions; and at least one non-transitory computer-readable medium, accessed by the at least one hardware computer and carrying the software instructions, wherein the software instructions, when executed perform operations comprising: causing a map of a selected portion of a geographical area to be displayed by a user interface, wherein the selected portion of the geographical area includes satellite imagery; identifying, and causing to be displayed, an incorrect position within the selected portion of the geographical area, wherein the incorrect position corresponds to current, erroneous location information stored for a previously installed cell site, or one or more antennas at the previously installed cell site; presenting one or more display elements on the user interface representing the incorrect position of the previously installed cell site, or one or more antennas at the previously installed cell site, within the selected portion of the geographical area; receiving input from the user interface associated with movement of the presented display elements from the incorrect position to a correct position within the selected portion of the geographical area, wherein the correct position corresponds to an actual depicted location of the previously installed cell site, or one or more antennas at the previously installed cell site, as shown on the satellite imagery; and adjusting, and storing, updated location information for the previously installed cell site or one or more previously installed antennas at the cell site associated with the correct position within the selected portion of the geographical area to thereby correct the erroneous location information stored for the previously installed cell site, or the one or more antennas at the previously installed cell site. 2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the software instructions further comprise: accessing input associated with a graphical element drawn on the map between two points of an image of a structure displayed by the map. 3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the software instructions further comprise determining offset information by analyzing images within the displayed map to identify parallax error. 4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the current location information includes latitude and longitude coordinates for the one or more antennas located at the cell site. 5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the current location information include a single latitude and longitude coordinate for each of multiple antennas located at the cell site, and wherein the updated location information includes multiple, different, latitude and longitude coordinates for every antenna located at the cell site, and wherein the multiple, different, latitude and longitude coordinates correspond to satellite images of every antenna shown for the specific cell site. 6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the current location information for the cell site include latitude and longitude coordinates and azimuth information for the one or more antennas located at the cell site. 7. The system of claim 1 , wherein the software instructions further comprises accessing a satellite image map of a telecommunications network from a remotely located mapping system via an application programming interface (API) provided by the mapping system. 8. The system of claim 1 , wherein the software instructions further comprise accessing or receiving input associated with dragging displayed arrows from positions within the selected portion that correspond to current locations for the one or more antennas to different positions within the displayed portion, wherein the displayed arrows point in directions associated with azimuth information assigned to the one or more antennas. 9. The system of claim 1 , wherein the software instructions further comprises automatically determining different, positions within the displayed portion that correspond to images of the one or more antennas based on an analysis of features depicted within the displayed portion. 10. A computer-executable method, the method comprising: causing a map of a selected portion of a geographical area to be displayed by a user interface, wherein the selected portion of the geographical area includes satellite imagery; identifying, and causing to be displayed, an incorrect position within the selected portion of the geographical area, wherein the incorrect position corresponds to current, erroneous location information stored for a previously installed cell site, or one or more previously installed antennas for the cell site; presenting one or more display elements on the user interface representing the incorrect position of the previously installed cell site, or one or more previously installed antennas for the cell site, within the selected portion of the geographical area; receiving input from the user interface associated with movement of the presented display elements from the incorrect position to a correct position within the selected portion of the geographical area, wherein the correct position corresponds to an actual depicted location of the previously installed cell site, or one or more previously installed antennas for the cell site, as shown on the satellite imagery; and adjusting, and storing, updated location information for the previously installed cell site or one or more previously installed antennas at the cell site associated with the correct position within the selected portion of the geographical area to thereby correct the erroneous location information stored for the previously installed cell site, or the one or more previously installed antennas at the cell site. 11. The method of claim 10 , further comprising: accessing input associated with a graphical element drawn on the map between two points of an image of a structure displayed by the map. 12. The method of claim 10 , further comprising: determining offset information by analyzing images within the displayed map to identify parallax error. 13. The method of claim 10 , further comprising: accessing a satellite image map of a telecommunications network from a remotely located mapping system via an application programming interface (API) provided by the mapping system. 14. The method of claim 10 , further comprising: accessing or receiving input associated with dragging displayed arrows from positions within the selected portion that correspond to current locations for the one or more antennas to different, positions within the displayed portion, wherein the displayed arrows point in directions associated with azimuth information assigned to the one or more antennas. 15. At least one non-transitory computer-readable medium carrying instructions, which when executed by at least one data processor, cause the least one data processor to perform operations, the operations comprising: causing a map of a selected portion of a geographical area to be displayed by a user interface, wherein the selected portion of the geographical area includes satellite imagery; identifying, and causing to be displayed, an incorrect position within the selected portion of the geographical area, wherein the incorrect position corresponds to current, erroneous location information stored for a previously installed cell site, or one or more antennas at the previously installed cell site; presenting one or more display elements on the user interface representing the incorrect position of the previously
