The present disclosure provides azeotrope or azeotrope-like compositions including trifluoroiodomethane (CF3I) and 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc), and a method of forming an azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition comprising the step of combining 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and trifluoroiodomethane (CF3I) to form an azeotrope or azeotrope-like comprising 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and trifluoroiodomethane (CF3I) having a boiling point of about −25.63° C.±0.30° C. at a pressure of about 14.44 psia±0.30 psia.

What is claimed is: 1. A composition comprising an azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consisting essentially of effective amounts of 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I). 2. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition has a boiling point of about −25.63° C.±0.30° C. at a pressure of about 14.44 psia±0.30 psia. 3. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consists essentially of from about 24 wt. % to about 54 wt. % 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and from about 46 wt. % to about 76 wt. % trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I). 4. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consists essentially of from about 30 wt. % to about 48 wt. % 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and from about 52 wt. % to about 70 wt. % trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I). 5. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition comprises from about 38 wt. % to about 39 wt. % 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and from about 61 wt. % to about 62 wt. % trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I). 6. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition comprises about 38.99 wt. % 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and about 60.01 wt. % trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I). 7. A composition comprising an azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consisting essentially of 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I) having a boiling point of about −25.63° C.±0.30° C. at a pressure of about 14.44 psia±0.30 psia. 8. The composition of claim 7 , wherein the azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consists essentially of from about 24 wt. % to about 54 wt. % 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and from about 46 wt. % to about 76 wt. % trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I). 9. The composition of claim 7 , wherein the azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consists essentially of from about 30 wt. % to about 48 wt. % 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and from about 52 wt. % to about 70 wt. % trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I). 10. The composition of claim 7 , wherein the azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consists essentially of from about 38 wt. % to about 39 wt. % 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and from about 61 wt. % to about 62 wt. % trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I). 11. The composition of claim 7 , wherein the azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consists essentially of about 38.99 wt. % 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and about 60.01 wt. % trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I). 12. The composition of claim 7 , wherein the azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consists of from about 24 wt. % to about 54 wt. % 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and from about 46 wt. % to about 76 wt. % trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I). 13. The composition of claim 7 , wherein the azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consists of from about 30 wt. % to about 48 wt. % 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and from about 52 wt. % to about 70 wt. % trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I). 14. The composition of claim 7 , wherein the azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consists of about 38.99 wt. % 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and about 60.01 wt. % trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I). 15. A method of forming an azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition comprising the step of combining 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I) to form an azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consisting essentially of 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I) having a boiling point of about −25.63° C.±0.30° C. at a pressure of about 14.44 psia±0.30 psia. 16. The method of claim 15 , wherein the combining step comprises combining from about 24 wt. % to about 54 wt. % 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and from about 46 wt. % to about 76 wt. % trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I). 17. The method of claim 15 , wherein the combining step comprises combining from about 38 wt. % to about 39 wt. % 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and from about 61 wt. % to about 62 wt. % trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I). 18. The method of claim 15 , wherein the combining step comprises combining about 38.99 wt. % 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and about 60.01 wt. % trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I). 19. A method of separating 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I) from a primary composition comprising 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc), trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I) and at least one impurity, including the steps of: forming, within the primary composition, a secondary composition which is an azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consisting essentially of effective amounts of 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I) having a boiling point of −25.63° C.±0.30° C. at a pressure of about 14.44 psia±0.30 psia; and separating the secondary composition from the primary composition at least one impurity. 20. The method of claim 19 , wherein the forming step comprises forming, within the primary composition, a secondary composition which is an azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consisting essentially of from about 24 wt. % to about 54 wt. % 1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225zc) and from about 46 wt. % to about 76 wt. % trifluoroiodomethane (CF 3 I) and having a boiling point of −25.63° C.±0.30° C. at a pressure of about 14.44 psia±0.30 psia.
