A system and method for hosting and managing a live game are disclosed which includes a live gaming table for live players and a live dealer. In an embodiment an application configures a player's mobile device to receive an invitation from a casino to play the table game based upon the player being, based upon location aware technology, being in or near the casino. Accepting the invention permits the player to reserve a position at the gaming table and displays a machine readable code at the player's mobile device. The player positions at the gaming table include video display and player input devices (VDPIDs) and a code reader to read the displayed code and access the player's electronic account. Using the VDPID the player may convert between electronic funds and physical gaming chips, participate in video bonus event play and back-bet on other players.

What is claimed is: 1. A gaming table for play of a wagering game, the gaming table comprising: a dealer terminal; a first processor configured to communicate with the dealer terminal, and communicate, via a communication network, with a second processor that has remote access to a player electronic fund account; and a player interface device at a first of a plurality of player positions at the gaming table, wherein the player interface device includes a video display and a user input device, wherein the player interface device is configured to automatically communicate with one or more additional player interface devices at one or more additional ones of the plurality of player positions, the first processor, and the second processor, for the remote access to the player electronic fund account, and wherein the player interface device is further configured to one or more of facilitate a transaction to request funds from the player electronic fund account to exchange, via the dealer terminal, for physical tokens, facilitate a transaction to exchange cash for uploading funds to the player electronic fund account, or enable access to electronic funds for wagering. 2. The gaming table of claim 1 further configured to trigger a bonus event in response to receiving a signal indicating that a player has obtained a base game bonus-triggering outcome. 3. The gaming table of claim 2 , wherein the dealer terminal includes a switch to select when the player has obtained the base game bonus-triggering outcome, the switch sending a signal to one or more of the first processor and the second processor for display of the bonus event. 4. The gaming table of claim 2 further configured to detect when a mobile device associated with the player enters the casino venue and to cause a mobile device application to render an offer to play a table game with promotional credits, the application configured to enable acceptance of the offer, via the mobile device, and reserve a position at the gaming table, one of the offer and acceptance including an optically readable code associated with the offer and displayed on a mobile device display, and wherein the gaming table is configured to optically read the optically readable code and, through the communication network, access the player electronic fund account and the promotional credits. 5. The gaming table of claim 1 further configured to display a spinning wheel game as a bonus event. 6. The gaming table of claim 5 further configured to, in response to triggering of the bonus game event, control the player interface device to display a picking game as the bonus game event. 7. The gaming table of claim 1 further comprising an inventory of physical gaming chips, wherein the dealer terminal is configured to communicate with the player interface device to exchange virtual credits for physical gaming chips. 8. A gaming system comprising: one or more processors at a gaming table configured to communicate with a dealer terminal at the gaming table, and remotely access, via a communication network, a player electronic fund account; and a player interface device at a one of a plurality of player positions at the gaming table, wherein the player interface device includes a video display and a user input device, wherein the player interface device is configured to automatically obtain remote access to the player electronic fund account via the one or more processors, and wherein the player interface device is further configured to one or more of facilitate a transaction to request funds from the player electronic fund account to exchange, via the dealer terminal, for physical tokens, facilitate a transaction to exchange cash for uploading funds to the player electronic fund account, or enable access to electronic funds for wagering.
