What is claimed is: 1. An adjustable holding device for forming pocket holes, the system comprising: a base; the base having an exhaust channel; an upright operatively connected to the base; a clamp assembly operatively connected to the base; a first guide member operatively connected to the base; the first guide member having a top side, a bottom side, opposing lateral sides, a front side and a back side; the first guide member having a first drill insert; wherein the first drill insert forms a bore that extends through the first guide member; wherein the first drill insert is configured to receive and guide a drill bit; the first guide member having a hollow chamber; the first guide member having an opening in the bottom side of the first guide member; wherein when the drill bit extends through the bore of the first drill insert and a hole is drilled in a work piece, shavings pass through the hollow chamber and out the opening in the bottom side of the first guide member; wherein the exhaust channel in the base is aligned with the opening in the bottom side of the first guide member such that the exhaust channel receives shavings that pass through the opening in the bottom side of the first guide member. 2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the bore of the first drill insert intersects the top side of the first guide member at an upper end of the bore. 3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the bore of the first drill insert intersects the front side of the first guide member at a lower end of the bore. 4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the bore of the first drill insert extends through the first guide member at an angle such that when the drill bit is inserted in the bore of the first drill insert of the first guide member the drill bit exits the front side of the first guide member at an angle. 5. The system of claim 1 , further comprising a second guide member operatively connected to the base. 6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first guide member is directly connected to the upright. 7. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first drill insert has an upper end and a lower end, wherein the upper end of the first drill insert terminates adjacent the top side of the first guide member. 8. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first drill insert has an upper end and a lower end, wherein the lower end of the first drill insert terminates within the hollow chamber of the first guide member. 9. The system of claim 1 , wherein the exhaust channel has an opening in an upper surface of the base that receives shavings from the opening in the bottom side of the first guide member. 10. The system of claim 1 , wherein the exhaust channel has an exhaust port in a sidewall of the base, wherein shavings pass through the exhaust port of the exhaust channel to exit the base. 11. An adjustable holding device for forming pocket holes, the system comprising: a base; a first guide member operatively connected to the base; the first guide member having a top side, a bottom side, opposing lateral sides, a front side and a back side; the first guide member having a first drill insert; wherein the first drill insert forms a bore that extends through the first guide member at an angle; the first guide member having a hollow chamber; the first guide member having an opening in the bottom side of the first guide member; wherein when a hole is drilled in a work piece, shavings pass through the hollow chamber and out the opening in the bottom side of the first guide member. 12. The system of claim 11 , further comprising an exhaust channel in the base, wherein the exhaust channel is configured to receive shavings from the opening in the bottom side of the first guide member. 13. The system of claim 11 , further comprising an exhaust channel in the base, wherein the exhaust channel includes an opening in an upper surface of the base that is aligned with the opening in the bottom side of the first guide member such that shavings pass through the opening in the bottom side of the first guide member and into the exhaust channel in the base. 14. The system of claim 11 , further comprising an exhaust channel in the base, the exhaust channel having an exhaust port in a sidewall of the base wherein the exhaust channel is configured to receive shavings from the opening in the bottom side of the first guide member, wherein shavings pass through the exhaust port of the exhaust channel to exit the base. 15. The system of claim 11 , further comprising: an upright operatively connected to the base; a clamp assembly operatively connected to the base. 16. The system of claim 11 , wherein the bore of the first drill insert extends through the first guide member at an angle such that when a drill bit is inserted in the bore of the first drill insert of the first guide member the drill bit exits the front side of the first guide member at an angle. 17. The system of claim 11 , further comprising a second guide member operatively connected to the base. 18. The system of claim 11 , wherein the first drill insert has an upper end and a lower end, wherein the upper end of the first drill insert terminates adjacent the top side of the first guide member. 19. The system of claim 11 , wherein the first drill insert has an upper end and a lower end, wherein the lower end of the first drill insert terminates adjacent the hollow chamber of the first guide member. 20. A guide member for forming pocket holes, the system comprising: a first guide member; the first guide member having a top side, a bottom side, opposing lateral sides, a front side and a back side; the first guide member having a first drill insert; wherein the first drill insert forms a bore that extends through the first guide member; wherein the bore of the first drill insert is configured to receive and guide a drill bit; wherein the bore of the first drill insert intersects the top side of the first guide member; wherein the bore of the first drill insert intersects the front side of the first guide member; the first guide member having a hollow chamber; the first guide member having an opening in the bottom side of the first guide member; wherein when the drill bit extends through the bore of the first drill insert and a hole is drilled in a work piece, shavings pass through the hollow chamber and out the opening in the bottom side of the first guide member. 21. The system of claim 20 , wherein the bore of the first drill insert extends through the first guide member at an angle such that when the drill bit is inserted in the bore of the first drill insert of the first guide member the drill bit exits the front side of the first guide member at an angle. 22. The system of claim 20 , wherein the first guide member is generally rectangular in shape. 23. The system of claim 20 , wherein the drill bit has a body, a tip and an adjustable depth collar. 24. The system of claim 20 , wherein the first drill insert has an upper end and a lower end, wherein the upper end of the first drill insert terminates adjacent the top side of the first guide member. 25.
