Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can determine one or more users in a guest list associated with a broadcast of a live content stream, wherein each user in the guest list has indicated an interest in joining the live content stream broadcast as a co-broadcaster. A determination is made that a first user broadcasting the live content stream has selected at least one second user from the guest list to join the broadcast as a co-broadcaster. The second user is added to the broadcast as a co-broadcaster.

First claim

What is claimed is: 1. A computer-implemented method comprising: determining, by a computing system, one or more users in a guest list associated with a broadcast of a first live content stream, wherein each user in the guest list has sent a request to enroll in the guest list; receiving, by the computing system, information comprising at least one of: one or more responses to one or more questionnaires, one or more self-portrait images, or one or more audition videos associated with the one or more users in the guest list, wherein the information is captured as a part of the request to enroll in the guest list; determining, by the computing system, that a broadcaster associated with the broadcast of the first live content stream has reviewed the information with respect to at least one user of the one or more users in the guest list and selected the at least one user from the guest list to join the broadcast as a co-broadcaster; and causing, by the computing system, the at least one user to be added to the broadcast as the co-broadcaster. 2. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the determining the one or more users in the guest list further comprises: determining, by the computing system, that a viewing user accessing the broadcast of the first live content stream has performed one or more operations using a computing device of the viewing user to enroll in the guest list, wherein, upon enrolling, the viewing user is eligible to be included in the broadcast as a potential co-broadcaster. 3. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein determining that the broadcaster associated with the broadcast of the first live content stream has reviewed the information associated with the at least one user of the one or more users in the guest list and selected the at least one user from the guest list further comprises: providing, by the computing system, the information associated with the one or more users in the guest list to a computing device of the broadcaster; and receiving, by the computing system, at least one selection of the at least one user from the guest list from the computing device of the broadcaster. 4. The computer-implemented method of claim 3 , wherein providing the information associated with the one or more users in the guest list further comprises: providing, by the computing system, the one or more self-portrait images associated with the one or more users in the guest list, wherein the one or more self-portrait images were captured by one or more computing devices of the one or more users. 5. The computer-implemented method of claim 3 , wherein providing the information associated with the one or more users in the guest list further comprises: providing, by the computing system, the one or more audition videos associated with the one or more users in the guest list, wherein the one or more audition videos were captured by one or more computing devices of the one or more users. 6. The computer-implemented method of claim 3 , wherein providing the information associated with the one or more users in the guest list further comprises: providing, by the computing system, the one or more responses associated with the one or more users in the guest list, wherein the one or more questionnaires were created by the broadcaster. 7. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein causing the at least one user to be added to the broadcast as the co-broadcaster further comprises: causing, by the computing system, the first live content stream to be merged with a second live content stream to generate a merged live content stream, wherein the first live content stream is broadcasted using a first computing device of the broadcaster and the second live content stream is broadcasted using a second computing device of the co-broadcaster and wherein viewing users accessing the broadcast of the first live content stream are shown the merged live content stream. 8. The computer-implemented method of claim 7 , wherein the merged live content stream is presented to the viewing users in an interface that includes a first region and a second region, wherein the first live content stream broadcasted using the first computing device of the broadcaster is shown in the first region, and wherein the second live content stream broadcasted using the second computing device of the co-broadcaster is shown in the second region. 9. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , the method further comprising: receiving, by the computing system, a request to remove the at least one user from the broadcast; and causing, by the computing system, the at least one user to be removed from the broadcast, wherein, after the at least one user is removed, the at least one user is no longer the co-broadcaster. 10. The computer-implemented method of claim 9 , wherein causing the at least one user to be removed from the broadcast further comprises: causing, by the computing system, a second live content stream broadcasted using a computing device of the at least one user to be disconnected from a merged live content stream that includes both the first live content stream and the second live content stream, wherein, after the second live content stream is disconnected, viewing users accessing the merged live content stream are shown the first live content stream. 11. A system comprising: at least one processor; and a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to perform: determining one or more users in a guest list associated with a broadcast of a first live content stream, wherein each user in the guest list has sent a request to enroll in the guest list; receiving information comprising at least one of: one or more responses to one or more questionnaires, one or more self-portrait images, or one or more audition videos associated with the one or more users in the guest list, wherein the information is captured as a part of the request to enroll in the guest list; determining that a broadcaster associated with the broadcast of the first live content stream has reviewed the information with respect to at least one user of the one or more users in the guest list and selected the at least one user from the guest list to join the broadcast as a co-broadcaster; and causing the at least one user to be added to the broadcast as the co-broadcaster. 12. The system of claim 11 , wherein the determining the one or more users in the guest list further causes the system to perform: determining that a viewing user accessing the broadcast of the first live content stream has performed one or more operations using a computing device of the viewing user to enroll in the guest list, wherein, upon enrolling, the viewing user is eligible to be included in the broadcast as a potential co-broadcaster. 13. The system of claim 11 , wherein determining that the broadcaster associated with the broadcast of the first live content stream has reviewed the information associated with the at least one user of the one or more users in the guest list and selected the at least one user from the guest list further causes the system to perform: providing the information associated with the one or more users in the guest list to a computing device of the broadcaster; and receiving at least one selection of the at least one user from the guest list from the computing device of the broadcaster. 14. The system of claim 13 , wherein providing the information associated with the one or more users in the guest list further causes the system to perform: providing the one or more self-portrait images associ
