Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A moving-body light-emitting device for a vehicle includes: a light source including a light-emitting element; a substrate on which the light source is provided; a first lens that covers the light-emitting element and includes a curved surface that transmits light emitted from the light-emitting element, the curved surface including a first curved surface and a second curved surface; and a reflective surface that covers the first curved surface of the first lens and reflects the light transmitted through the first lens. The second curved surface of the first lens is not covered with the reflective surface, and transmits the light reflected by the reflective surface.

What is claimed is: 1. An illumination apparatus comprising: a light emitting device for a moving body, the light emitting device including: a light source including a light-emitting element; a substrate on which the light source is provided; a first lens that covers and seals the light-emitting element on the substrate and includes a curved surface that transmits light emitted from the light-emitting element, the curved surface including a first portion and a second portion; and a reflective surface that covers the first portion of the curved surface of the first lens and reflects the light transmitted through the first lens, wherein the second portion of the curved surface of the first lens is not covered with the reflective surface, and transmits the light reflected by the reflective surface; a second lens that is provided in front of the light-emitting device in a direction of travel of the moving body, and receives light emitted from the light-emitting device; a shield that is provided between the light-emitting device and the second lens and shields a portion of the light emitted from the light-emitting device; and a pedestal that holds the substrate, wherein the pedestal includes a heat sink provided on a side of the pedestal opposite a side of the pedestal where the substrate is provided, the heat sink dissipating heat of the light-emitting element, in a state in which the light-emitting device is attached to the moving body, a light emission direction in which the light-emitting element emits light is downward, and the heat sink is provided on a side of the pedestal opposite a side of the pedestal facing the light emission direction. 2. The illumination apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the light-emitting device further comprises: a reflector including the reflective surface that faces the first portion of the curved surface of the first lens, wherein the reflector is at least partially in contact with the first portion of the curved surface of the first lens. 3. The illumination apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the reflector includes a separated portion that is separated from the first lens in a vicinity of the second portion, and an inner surface of the separated portion facing the curved surface of the first lens is a reflective surface that reflects light. 4. The illumination apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein a curvature radius of the first portion of the curved surface of the first lens is different from a curvature radius of the second portion of the curved surface of the first lens. 5. The illumination apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the shield includes a semi-transmissive region capable of transmitting a portion of incident light and a non-transmissive region that shields light, and the semi-transmissive region is provided in a vicinity of an edge of the shield. 6. The illumination apparatus according to claim 5 , wherein the shield has a plate shape, and the semi-transmissive region is thinner than the non-transmissive region. 7. The illumination apparatus according to claim 5 , wherein the semi-transmissive region includes a plurality of fine holes. 8. A moving body, comprising: a headlight including the illumination apparatus according to claim 1 . 9. The illumination apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the second portion faces a direction of travel of the moving body. 10. The illumination apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the light emission direction is vertically downward. 11. The illumination apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the reflective surface is provided on a portion of the first lens opposed to a portion of the first lens closer to the second lens, and the second portion of the curved surface faces the second lens.
