Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

An adjustable injection device for administering a substance includes a housing with an array of fastening points and at least two housing-like shells, each having at least one holding device and at least one blocking device for attaching to the housing. The holding device of a first shell can be attached to a fastening point, and the holding device of a second shell can be attached to a further fastening point. The holding device of the first shell is prevented from disengagement therefrom by the blocking device of the second shell, and the holding device of the second shell is prevented from disengagement therefrom by a blocking device of a further shell, or, in the event that the injection device has only two shells, is prevented from disengagement from the further fastening point by a blocking device of the first shell whereby the shells are non-detachably connected to the housing.

What is claimed is: 1. An injection device for administering a fluid substance, comprising at least one housing which, on an external side thereof, has an array of a plurality of fastening points, the injection device further comprising: a plurality of housing-like shells, the plurality of housing-like shells including at least a first housing-like shell and a second housing like shell, each of the plurality of housing-like shells having a holding device and a blocking device arranged thereon, wherein the plurality of housing-like shells are attached to the housing and the holding devices and the blocking devices of the plurality of housing-like shells are arranged on the housing-like shells such that: the holding device of the first housing-like shell is attached to a first fastening point of the housing and the holding device of the second housing-like shell is attached to a further fastening point of the housing, the holding device of the first housing-like shell when attached to the first fastening point is prevented from disengagement from the first fastening point by the holding device of the first housing-like shell and the blocking device of the second housing-like shell engaging with one another, and the holding device of the second housing-like shell when attached to the further fastening point is prevented from disengagement therefrom by either the holding device of the second housing-like shell and the blocking device of a third housing-like shell of the plurality of housing-like shells engaging with one another or by the holding device of the second housing-like shell and the blocking device of the first housing-like shell engaging with one another, whereby the plurality of housing-like shells are connected to the housing in a non-detachable manner. 2. The injection device of claim 1 , wherein the injection device includes only two housing-like shells. 3. The injection device of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of housing-like shells is geometrically identical. 4. The injection device of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of housing-like shells is interchangeable. 5. The injection device of claim 1 , wherein each of the at holding devices is configured as a snap arm with a tooth-like structure at a free end, and each fastening point is configured as a recess configured to be complementary to the tooth-like structure. 6. The injection device of claim 1 , wherein each of the at holding devices is configured as an arm comprising an opening at a free end, and each fastening point of the housing comprises tooth-like structures, wherein the holding devices are snapped onto respective fastening points. 7. The injection device of claim 1 , wherein the injection device includes the third housing-like shell. 8. The injection device of claim 7 , wherein the holding device of the third housing-like shell is attachable to another fastening point of the housing, and wherein the blocking device of the first housing-like shell is configured to prevent disengagement of the third housing-like shell when the third housing-like shell is attached to the housing by the holding device of the third housing-like shell and the blocking device of the first housing-like shell engaging with one another. 9. The injection device of claim 1 , wherein the injection device includes the third housing-like shell and a fourth housing-like shell of the plurality of housing-like shells. 10. The injection device of claim 9 , wherein the holding device of the third housing-like shell is attachable to another fastening point of the housing, wherein the blocking device of the fourth housing-like shell is configured to prevent disengagement of the third housing-like shell when the third housing-like shell is attached to the housing by the holding device of the third housing-like shell and the blocking device of the fourth housing-like shell engaging with one another, wherein the holding device of the fourth housing-like shell is attachable to an additional fastening point of the housing, and wherein the blocking device of the first housing-like shell is configured to prevent disengagement of the fourth housing-like shell when the fourth housing-like shell is attached to the housing by the holding device of the fourth housing-like shell and the blocking device of the first housing-like shell engaging with one another. 11. The injection device of claim 1 , wherein the housing comprises an opening for viewing a product container containing the substance to be administered, and the first housing-like shell is attached to the housing in an area of the opening of the housing and comprises an opening aligned with the opening of the housing such that the product container is at least partially visible through the first housing-like shell and housing. 12. The injection device of claim 11 , wherein the opening in the first housing-like shell is smaller than the opening in the housing. 13. The injection device of claim 1 , wherein the fastening points comprise optically or electrically conductive areas. 14. The injection device of claim 13 , wherein each of the holding devices comprises optically or electrically conductive elements that are configured to contact a respective one of the optically or electrically conductive areas of the fastening points. 15. An injection device for administering a fluid substance, comprising at least one housing which, on an external side thereof, has an array of a plurality of fastening points, the injection device further comprising a plurality of housing-like shells, the plurality of housing-like shells including a first housing-like shell, a second housing-like shell, a third housing-like shell, and a fourth housing-like shell, each of the plurality of housing-like shells including a holding device and a blocking device arranged thereon, wherein the plurality of housing-like shells are attached to the housing and the at holding devices and the blocking devices are arranged such that the holding device of the first housing-like shell is attached to a first fastening point of the housing, the holding device of the second housing-like shell is attached to a further fastening point of the housing, the holding device of the first housing-like shell when attached to the first fastening point is prevented from disengagement from the first fastening point by the holding device of the first housing-like shell and the blocking device of the second housing-like shell engaging with one another, and the holding device of the second housing-like shell when attached to the further fastening point is prevented from disengagement from the further fastening point by the holding device of the second housing-like shell and the blocking device of the third housing-like shell engaging with one another, and the holding device of a last the fourth housing-like shell is attached to another fastening point of the housing, and is prevented from disengagement from the another fastening point by the holding device of the fourth housing-like shell and the blocking device of the first housing-like shell engaging with one another, as a result of which the plurality of housing-like shells are connected to the housing in a non-detachable manner. 16. The injection device of claim 1 , wherein each of the holding devices is configured as a snap arm with a tooth-like structure at a free end, and each fastening point is configured as a recess configured to be complementary to the tooth-like structure. 17. The injection device of claim 1 , wherein each of the holding devices is configured as an arm comprising an ope
