What is claimed is: 1. A transaction card, comprising: a housing component forming a cavity defined by walls of the housing component, the cavity being located on the transaction card; a data storage component disposed within the cavity; an inlay component comprising a first inlay surface formed of a fabric material and including visible information opposite a second inlay surface joined to the housing component; and at least one of: a hydrophobic coating material; and an oleophobic coating material. 2. The transaction card of claim 1 , wherein the inlay component has an aperture providing physical contact with the data storage component. 3. The transaction card of claim 1 , wherein the housing component has an aperture providing physical contact with the data storage component. 4. The transaction card of claim 1 , wherein the data storage component comprises at least one of a Europay, Mastercard and Visa (EMV) chip, a near field communication antenna, a radiofrequency identification device, a Bluetooth device, or a WiFi device. 5. The transaction card of claim 1 , wherein the housing component includes a first housing surface forming a bottom of the cavity and a second housing surface opposite the first housing surface. 6. The transaction card of claim 5 , wherein the second housing surface includes visible information. 7. The transaction card of claim 1 , wherein the data storage component is configured to transmit wireless data signals through at least one of the inlay component and the housing component. 8. The transaction card of claim 1 , wherein the walls of the housing component extend beyond the first inlay surface. 9. The transaction card of claim 1 , further comprising a layer of adhesive disposed between the housing component and the second inlay surface. 10. The transaction card of claim 1 , wherein the housing component and the inlay component are laminated together. 11. A transaction card, comprising: a housing component forming a cavity defined by walls of the housing component, the cavity being located on the transaction card; a data storage component disposed within the cavity; a fabric surface including visible information thereon; a backer layer supporting the fabric surface and having greater rigidity than the fabric surface; and at least one of: a hydrophobic coating material; and an oleophobic coating material; wherein the backer layer is disposed within the cavity such that the fabric surface is visible. 12. The transaction card of claim 11 , further comprising a layer of adhesive disposed between the fabric surface and the backer layer. 13. The transaction card of claim 11 , wherein the fabric surface and the backer layer are laminated together. 14. The transaction card of claim 11 , wherein the backer layer comprises at least one of wood, wood composite, metal, or plastic. 15. The transaction card of claim 11 , where the at least one hydrophobic coating material and oleophobic coating material is disposed on the fabric surface. 16. The transaction card of claim 11 , wherein the coating material is laser-reactive. 17. The transaction card of claim 16 , further comprising visible information disposed on the coating material using a laser. 18. A transaction card, comprising: a housing component forming a cavity defined by walls of the housing component, the cavity being located on the transaction card; a data storage component disposed within the cavity; and a fabric surface including visible information on a first side and a hot melt layer on a second side opposite the first side, wherein the fabric surface is disposed within the cavity such that the hot melt layer is joined to the housing component; and at least one of: a hydrophobic coating material; and an oleophobic coating material.
