Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method including receiving, by a system comprising a processor, a multicast video stream directed to an array of a plurality of display modules movably attached to a modular display, extracting, by the system, video display data from the multicast video stream according to a location within the array of a first display module of the plurality of display modules, and updating, by the system, a video display of the first display module according to the video display data that is extracted from the multicast video stream, wherein the updating is synchronized to a master clock of the modular display. Other embodiments are disclosed.

What is claimed is: 1. A device, comprising: a memory to store executable instructions; and a processing system comprising a processor communicatively coupled to the memory, wherein the processing system, responsive to executing the executable instructions, performs operations comprising: receiving configuration information for panoramic media content from a video streaming module, wherein the configuration information defines a module location for each display module in a module array resulting in a plurality of display modules, wherein a video display comprises the module array; determining a first pixel density for a first display module and determining a second pixel density for a second display module, wherein the second display module is in an adjacent location to the first display module, wherein the module array comprises the first display module and the second display module; determining a difference between the first pixel density and the second pixel density; adjusting the first pixel density to smooth an appearance of the difference between the first pixel density and the second pixel density and to generate an adjusted module array; and presenting the panoramic media content on the adjusted module array of the video display. 2. The device of claim 1 , wherein the adjusting of the first pixel density for the first display module comprises adjusting pixel density of an edge of the first display module adjacent to the second display module. 3. The device of claim 1 , wherein the adjusting of the first pixel density for the first display module comprises blurring image pixels in an area of the first display module adjacent to the second display module to mimic the second pixel density. 4. The device of claim 1 , wherein the operations comprise: receiving the panoramic media content from a media content server; and segmenting the panoramic media content according to the plurality of display modules of the module array resulting in a segmented panoramic media content. 5. The device of claim 4 , wherein the presenting of the panoramic media content on the adjusted module array comprises presenting the segmented panoramic media content on the adjusted module array. 6. The device of claim 1 , wherein the operations comprise generating a plurality of guide modules, wherein the module array comprises the plurality of guide modules, wherein the plurality of guide modules present electronic programming guide (EPG) information. 7. The device of claim 6 , wherein the presenting of the panoramic media content on the adjusted module array comprises presenting the EPG information on the plurality of guide modules. 8. The device of claim 1 , wherein the operations comprise generating a chat module, wherein the module array comprises the chat module, and the chat module presents chat information related to the panoramic media content. 9. The device of claim 8 , wherein the presenting of the panoramic media content on the adjusted module array comprises presenting the chat information on the chat module. 10. A machine-readable storage medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a processing system including a processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising: receiving panoramic media content from a media content server; segmenting the panoramic media content according to a plurality of display modules of a module array resulting in a segmented panoramic media content; receiving configuration information for panoramic media content from a video streaming module, wherein the configuration information defines a module location for each display module in the module array, wherein a video display comprises the module array; determining a first pixel density for a first display module and determining a second pixel density for a second display module, wherein the second display module is in an adjacent location to the first display module, wherein the module array comprises the first display module and the second display module; determining a difference between the first pixel density and the second pixel density; adjusting the first pixel density to smooth an appearance of the difference between the first pixel density and the second pixel density and to generate an adjusted module array; and presenting the panoramic media content on the adjusted module array of the video display. 11. The machine-readable storage medium of claim 10 , wherein the adjusting of the first pixel density for the first display module comprises adjusting pixel density of an edge of the first display module adjacent to the second display module. 12. The machine-readable storage medium of claim 10 , wherein the adjusting of the first pixel density for the first display module comprises blurring image pixels in an area of the first display module adjacent to the second display module to mimic the second pixel density. 13. The machine-readable storage medium of claim 10 , wherein the operations comprise generating a plurality of guide modules, wherein the module array comprises the plurality of guide modules, wherein the plurality of guide modules present electronic programming guide (EPG) information. 14. The machine-readable storage medium of claim 13 , wherein the presenting of the panoramic media content on the adjusted module array comprises presenting the EPG information on the plurality of guide modules. 15. The machine-readable storage medium of claim 10 , wherein the operations comprise generating a chat module, wherein the module array comprises the chat module, and the chat module presents chat information related to the panoramic media content. 16. The machine-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the presenting of the panoramic media content on the adjusted module array comprises presenting the chat information on the chat module. 17. A method, comprising: receiving, by a processing system including a processor, configuration information for panoramic media content from a video streaming module, wherein the configuration information defines a module location for each display module in a module array resulting in a plurality of display modules, wherein a video display comprises the module array; determining, by the processing system, a first pixel density for a first display module and determining a second pixel density for a second display module, wherein the second display module is in an adjacent location to the first display module, wherein the module array comprises the first display module and the second display module; determining, by the processing system, a difference between the first pixel density and the second pixel density; adjusting, by the processing system, to smooth an appearance of the difference between the first pixel density and the second pixel density resulting in an adjusted module array, wherein the adjusting of the first pixel density for the first display module comprises adjusting pixel density of an edge of the first display module adjacent to the second display module; and presenting, by the processing system, the panoramic media content on the adjusted module array of the video display. 18. The method of claim 17 , comprising: receiving, by the processing system, the panoramic media content from a media content server; and segmenting, by the processing system, the panoramic media content according to the plurality of display modules of the module array resulting in a segmented panoramic media content, wherein the presenting of the panoramic media content on the adjusted module array comprises pr
