What is claimed: 1. A process for manufacturing a transaction card comprising the steps of: forming an opening in a metal card body of the transaction card, the metal card body having a color; and molding a molding material about an electronic component by first inserting the electronic component into the opening and then filling the opening with the molding material, wherein the molding material has a color and tone selected to match the color of the body. 2. The process of claim 1 further comprising the step of forming one or more securing features in the card body for securing the molding material to the card body. 3. The process of claim 2 , wherein the securing features comprise pockets in the card body. 4. A transaction card manufactured according to the process of claim 2 . 5. The process of claim 1 , wherein the opening extends entirely through the card body. 6. The process of claim 1 , wherein the molding material is a plastic having a molding temperature range of approximately 150-300 C. 7. The process of claim 1 , wherein the molding material is a polymeric material comprising one or more of EVA, metallocene polyalphaolefins, polyolefins including atactic polyalphaolefins, block copolymers, polyurethane hot melts, polyamides, fiberglass reinforced polyester, polyurethane, bakelite, duroplast, melamine, Diallyl-phthalate, and polyimide. 8. The process of claim 1 , wherein the molding material comprises a resin including powdered metal. 9. The process of claim 8 , wherein the powdered metal comprises one or more of Rhodium, Aluminum, Titanium, Magnesium, Copper, Brass, Nickel, Monel, Inconel, Steels and alloys of the above. 10. The process of claim 8 , further comprising selecting the powdered metal included in the resin to comprise a same type of metal or metal alloy as the card body. 11. The process of claim 1 further comprising, after the molding step, the step of removing excess molding material from the molded electronic component. 12. The process of claim 1 , wherein the card body has a length and a width that define opposite faces having a thickness between the opposite faces, and the opening defines a pocket in the card body that extends only partially through the thickness of the card body. 13. The process of claim 1 , wherein the electronic component comprises an antenna configured to inductively couple to a payment module, the antenna comprising a planar, metal, annular member having an antenna discontinuity that connects an inner region defined by the annular member to an outer region that surrounds the annular member, wherein the molding step disposes molding material in the antenna discontinuity, the inner region, and the outer region. 14. The process of claim 13 , further comprising, after the antenna is disposed in the card body, creating an opening in the molding material of the inner region defined by the annular member, and securing the payment module in the opening. 15. The process of claim 13 , further comprising creating at least one body discontinuity from an outer periphery of the card body to the opening in the card body. 16. The process of claim 15 , wherein creating the at least one body discontinuity comprises creating at least two body discontinuities, wherein the at least two body discontinuities and the opening collectively bisect the card body into at least two discrete portions. 17. The process of claim 1 , wherein the card body comprises different materials of construction than the molding material. 18. The process of claim 1 , wherein the electronic component comprises an antenna configured to inductively couple to a payment module. 19. The process of claim 18 , wherein the antenna comprises a planar, metal, annular member having an antenna discontinuity that connects an inner region defined by the annular member to an outer region that surrounds the annular member, further comprising disposing the molding material in the antenna discontinuity, the inner region, and the outer region. 20. The process of claim 18 , wherein the card body defines an outer periphery and has at least one body discontinuity extending from the outer periphery of the card body to the opening in the card body. 21. The process of claim 20 , wherein the at least one body discontinuity comprises at least two body discontinuities, in which the at least two body discontinuities and the opening collectively bisecting the card body into at least two discrete portions. 22. The process of claim 20 , further comprising the step of disposing molding material in the at least one body discontinuity. 23. The process of claim 20 comprising forming the opening so that the opening extends entirely through the card body from the top face to the bottom face. 24. The process of claim 20 , further comprising the step of forming one or more securing features in the card body for securing the molding material to the card body, wherein the molding step also comprises filling the one or more securing features with the molding material. 25. The process of claim 24 , comprising forming at least one of the one or more securing features as a blind hole pocket open to only one face of the card body. 26. A transaction card manufactured according to the process of claim 1 . 27. A process for manufacturing a transaction card comprising the steps of: forming an opening in a metal card body of the transaction card, the metal card body having a color; molding a molding material about an electronic component by first inserting the electronic component into the opening and then filling the opening with the molding material, wherein the molding material has a color and tone selected to match the color of the body, wherein the process includes forming one or more securing features in the card body for securing the molding material to the card, including forming at least a first securing feature as a blind hole pocket open only to a first face of the card body and at least a second securing feature as a blind hole pocket open only to a second face of the card body. 28. A transaction card manufactured according to the process of claim 27 . 29. A process for manufacturing a transaction card comprising the steps of: forming an opening in a metal card body of the transaction card, the metal card body having an outer periphery, a first face, and a pocket opposite the first face, the pocket having an inner lip that defines a perimeter of the pocket adjacent the outer periphery of the card body; molding a molding material about an electronic component by first inserting the electronic component into the pocket and then filling the pocket with a molding material having a color and tone selected to match the color of the body such that the molding material covers at least one surface of the electronic component and extends between the inner lip of the pocket and an outer edge of the electronic component to create a faceplate that defines an entire back face of the transaction card opposite the first face of the card body. 30. A transaction card manufactured according to the process of claim 29 . 31. A process for manufacturing a transaction card comprising the steps of: (a) forming a card body portion having an outer periphery, a first face, and a pocket opposite the first face, the pocket having an inner lip that defines a p
