Methods are provided for the treatment of relapsed and/or refractory solid tumors (including neuroendocrine carcinomas (NEC)) and non-Hodgkin's lymphomas (NHLs) and the like, using substituted heterocyclic derivative compounds and pharmaceutical compositions comprising compounds useful for the inhibition of lysine specific demethylase-1 (LSD-1).

The invention claimed is: 1. A method for the treatment of gastric neuroendocrine carcinoma comprising the administration to a patient in need thereof an effective amount of a compound having the structure of: or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the administration is affected by oral administration. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the effective amount of the compound comprises about 1.5 mg/kg to about 10 mg/kg. 4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the compound is in the form of a tablet, pill, sachet, or capsule of hard or soft gelatin. 5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the compound is in the form of a capsule containing the compound at dosage strengths comprising about 0.50 mg, 0.75 mg, or 2.00 mg.
