A photosensitive composition having excellent sensitivity, an insulating film formed using the composition, a color filter formed using the composition, a display device provided with the insulating film or color filter, and a compound suitable for incorporation as a photopolymerization initiator into the composition. This photosensitive composition includes a photopolymerizable compound and a photopolymerization initiator. The photopolymerization initiator contains a compound represented by formula (1) below in which R 1 is a hydrogen atom, a nitro group, or a monovalent organic group; R 2 and R 3 are each an optionally substituted linear alkyl group, an optionally substituted cyclic organic group, or a hydrogen atom, and R 2 and R 3 may be bonded to one another to form a ring; R 4 is a monovalent organic group; R 5 is a hydrogen atom, an optionally substituted C1-11 alkyl group, or an optionally substituted aryl group; n is an integer from 0 to 4; and m is 0 or 1.

The invention claimed is: 1. A photosensitive composition comprising (A) a photopolymerizable compound and (B) a photopolymerization initiator, wherein the photopolymerization initiator (B) comprises a compound represented by the following formula (1): wherein R 1 is a hydrogen atom; R 2 and R 3 each are a chain alkyl group which may have a substituent, a cyclic organic group which may have a substituent, or a hydrogen atom; R 2 and R 3 may be bonded to one another to form a ring; R 4 is a group represented by the following formula (R4-2); R 5 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 11 carbon atoms which may have a substituent, or an aryl group which may have a substituent; n is 4; and m is 1 wherein q is an integer of 1 to 8; r is an integer of 1 to 5; s is an integer of 0 to (r+3); and R 9 is an organic group. 2. The photosensitive composition according to claim 1 , further comprising (C) a coloring agent. 3. The photosensitive composition according to claim 2 , wherein the coloring agent (C) is a light shielding agent. 4. The photosensitive composition according to claim 1 , wherein the photopolymerizable compound (A) comprises a compound represented by the following formula (a1): wherein Y represents a residue in which an anhydride group (—CO—O—CO—) is removed from dicarboxylic anhydride, Z represents a residue in which two anhydride groups are removed from tetracarboxylic dianhydride, a represents an integer of 0 to 20, X represents a group represented by the following formula (a2): wherein R 1a each independently represents a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or a halogen atom, R 2a each independently represents a hydrogen atom or methyl group, and W represents a single bond or a group represented by a structural formula (a3) below, and wherein in the formula (a2) and the structural formula (a3), “*” means the end of a bond of a divalent group. 5. The photosensitive composition according to claim 1 , wherein in the formula (R4-2), q is an integer of 1 to 3; r is 1 or 2; and s is 0. 6.
