What is claimed is: 1. A bed comprising: a foundation having a foundation connector positioned at a bottom of the foundation, wherein the foundation connector defines a valley that extends longitudinally along a side of the foundation and defines at least one slot along the valley; and a frame having a frame connector positioned at a top of the frame and positioned in a location configured to mate with the foundation connector when the foundation is positioned on the frame, wherein both the valley of the foundation connector and the slot of the foundation connector are configured to receive at least a portion of the frame connector, wherein the portion of the frame connector is sized and configured to extend into the slot of the foundation connector when the foundation is positioned on the frame. 2. The bed of claim 1 , wherein the foundation connector comprises a receiver positioned at a location spaced inward from a perimeter of the foundation and the frame connector is positioned at a location spaced inward from the perimeter of the frame. 3. The bed of claim 1 , wherein the frame further comprises a cross-member and a leg portion, wherein frame connector is configured to releasably connect the cross-member to the leg portion. 4. The bed of claim 1 , wherein the frame comprises: first and second longitudinal support structures extending along a portion of the longitudinal length of the frame at first and second sides of the frame; first and second cross-members extending laterally from the first longitudinal support structure to the second longitudinal support structure; and a plurality of frame connectors connecting each end of the first and second cross-members to the first and second longitudinal support structures. 5. The bed of claim 4 , wherein the first and second longitudinal support structures each include a first leg at a first end and a second leg at a second end, wherein each of the first and second legs are configured to engage with a floor to support the frame. 6. The bed of claim 1 , wherein the slot comprises a first slot, wherein the foundation connector defines a second along the valley, wherein the frame connector comprises a first frame connector, wherein the frame has a second frame connector positioned at the top of the frame and positioned in a second location configured to mate with the foundation connector when the foundation is positioned on the frame, wherein both the valley of the foundation connector and the second slot of the foundation connector are configured to receive at least a second portion of the second frame connector, wherein the second portion of the second frame connector is sized and configured to extend into the second slot of the foundation connector when the foundation is positioned on the frame. 7. A bed comprising: a foundation having a foundation top and a foundation bottom, wherein the foundation further comprises: a foundation connector, wherein the foundation connector is fixedly connected to the foundation bottom; and a frame having a frame top and a frame bottom, wherein the frame is configured to support the foundation when the foundation is positioned on the frame top, wherein the frame further comprises: a cross-member having first and second ends; a leg portion; and a frame connector, wherein the frame connector is fixedly connected to the leg portion of the frame, wherein the frame connector positioned on the leg portion at a location proximate the frame top, and wherein the frame connector is configured to mate with both the foundation connector and the first end of the cross member such that the foundation connector connects the foundation to the frame and the foundation connector connects the cross-member to the leg portion. 8. The bed of claim 7 , wherein the frame connector defines a slot for receiving and supporting the cross-member, wherein the cross-member comprises a flange at an end of the cross-member, and wherein the frame connector defines a second slot between the frame connector and the leg portion for receiving the flange. 9. The bed of claim 7 , wherein the leg portion comprises one or more legs that extend downward such that distal ends of the one or more legs defines the frame bottom. 10. The bed of claim 7 , wherein the leg portion comprises one or more legs having a floor contacting end that is configured to contact the floor for supporting the frame. 11. The bed of claim 7 , wherein the foundation is configured to be remove from the frame by lifting the foundation up off the frame without loosening bolts or screws. 12. The bed of claim 7 , wherein the foundation connector comprises an elongate valley and at least one slot in the valley sized for receiving a portion of the frame connector. 13. The bed of claim 7 , wherein the leg portion comprises a plurality of legs, wherein the frame connector is connected to a side of the leg portion longitudinally between the plurality of legs, wherein the frame connector connects a bracket positioned on the first end of the cross-member to the side of the leg portion. 14. A frame for a bed, the frame comprising: a longitudinal support; a cross-member; and a fastening mechanism that releasably connects the cross-member to the longitudinal support, wherein the fastening mechanism comprises a U-shaped bracket defining a first slot, wherein the U-shaped bracket is fastened to an inner surface of the longitudinal support to define a second slot, wherein a first portion of the cross-member is positioned in the first slot, and a second portion of the cross-member is positioned in the second slot between the U-shaped bracket and the longitudinal support. 15. The frame of claim 14 , wherein the longitudinal support includes a first leg at a first end and a second leg at a second end. 16. The frame of claim 14 , wherein the fastening mechanism comprises a locking mechanism for releasably locking the cross-member to the longitudinal support. 17. The frame of claim 16 , wherein the fastening mechanism is configured for releasably attaching and locking the cross-member to the longitudinal support manually, without the use of tools. 18. The frame of claim 16 , wherein the bracket and the lock comprise injection molded polymers, wherein the spring is integrally formed with the bracket during injection molding, and wherein the cross-member comprises a metal flange at an end of the cross member sized and configured for mating with the bracket. 19. The frame of claim 14 , wherein the fastening mechanism comprises a bracket and a lock, wherein the lock is pivotably connected to the bracket and wherein the bracket comprises a spring for biasing the lock in a locked position. 20. The frame of claim 14 , wherein the U-shaped bracket comprises a ridge at a top of the U-shaped bracket for connecting to a mating feature on the bottom of a foundation.
