Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Users are provided control of their communications. Should a call be processed for a user, a text message may be automatically sent as a response to the call. The user may pre-compose different text messages. The user may also compose a custom text message. Regardless, the user's text message is automatically sent as a response to the call.

The invention claimed is: 1. A method, comprising: processing, by a server, a call associated with a calling address and a called address; querying, by the server, an electronic database to identify a text, the electronic database electronically associating the text to calling addresses including the calling address associated with the call; and initiating, by the server, a text message to the calling address as a response to the call, the text message specifying the text identified in the electronic database that is electronically associated with the calling address. 2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising storing pre-composed text messages that are associated with the calling address. 3. The method of claim 1 , further comprising storing pre-composed text messages that are associated with the called address. 4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving a selection to associate the text to the calling address. 5. The method of claim 1 , further comprising retrieving a profile associated with the calling address. 6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising retrieving a profile associated with the called address. 7. The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining a do not disturb setting. 8. A system, comprising: a hardware processor; and a memory device, the memory device storing code, the code when executed causing the hardware processor to perform operations, the operations comprising: processing a call associated with a calling address and a called address; querying an electronic database for the calling address, the electronic database electronically associating text to calling addresses, the calling addresses including the calling address associated with the call; identifying the text from the electronic database that is electronically associated with the calling address; and initiating a text message to the calling address in response to the call, the text message specifying the text identified in the electronic database that is electronically associated with the calling address. 9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise storing pre-composed text messages that are associated with the calling address. 10. The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise storing pre-composed text messages that are associated with the called address. 11. The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise receiving a selection to associate the text to the calling address. 12. The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise retrieving a profile associated with the calling address. 13. The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise retrieving a profile associated with the called address. 14. The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise determining a do not disturb setting. 15. A method, comprising: processing, by a server, a call associated with a calling address and a called address; querying, by the server, an electronic database for the calling address, the electronic database electronically associating text to calling addresses, the calling addresses including the calling address associated with the call; identifying, by the server, the text referenced by the electronic database that is electronically associated with the calling address; and sending, by the server, a text message to the calling address in response to the call, the text message specifying the text referenced by the electronic database that is electronically associated with the calling address. 16. The method of claim 15 , further comprising storing pre-composed text messages that are associated with the calling address. 17. The method of claim 15 , further comprising storing pre-composed text messages that are associated with the called address. 18. The method of claim 15 , further comprising receiving a selection to associate the text to the calling address. 19. The method of claim 15 , further comprising retrieving a profile associated with the calling address. 20. The method of claim 15 , further comprising retrieving a profile associated with the called address.
