Official abstract text for this publication.
The present invention, a method for carrying out a proxy operation executed by a second terminal in a wireless communication system, comprises the steps of: determining whether the second terminal is to act as a proxy for carrying out a paging-associated procedure for a first terminal; on the basis of the determination, acting as a proxy for carrying out the paging-associated procedure for the first terminal, wherein the second terminal monitors the paging of the first terminal at paging occasions of the first terminal.

What is claimed is: 1. A method for performing a proxy procedure in a wireless communication system, the method performed by a second user equipment (UE) and comprising: receiving, from a first UE, a proxy request; and performing the proxy procedure for paging of the first UE based on the proxy request, wherein the proxy request includes: information for a paging occasion of the first UE, information for user identifier (ID), and information for an accessible Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) list of the first UE, wherein a user of the first UE and a user of the second UE are identical, wherein an amount of battery capacity of the first UE is smaller than an amount of battery capacity of the second UE, wherein, in the proxy procedure, the second UE monitors the paging of the first UE on the paging occasion based on the proxy request when the user ID is an ID of the second UE performing the proxy procedure, and wherein, when the second UE camps on a specific cell on which the first UE is unable to access, the second UE notifies the fact that the second UE accesses to the specific cell which is not accessible by the first UE and stops the proxy procedure for paging of the first UE. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second UE performs a cell selection or a cell reselection in place of the first UE. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second UE performs a tracking area update as a proxy for the first UE. 4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising forwarding information of the paging of the first UE to the first UE, when receiving a message of the paging of the first UE while the second UE performs the proxy procedure. 5. A second user equipment (UE), comprising: a transceiver configured to transmit and receive a radio signal; and a processor being connected with the transceiver, wherein the processor is configured to: control the transceiver to receive, from a first UE, a proxy request; and perform the proxy procedure for paging of the first UE based on the proxy request, wherein the proxy request includes: information for a paging occasion of the first UE, information for a user identifier (ID), and information for an accessible Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) list of the first UE, wherein a user of the first UE and a user of the second UE are identical, wherein an amount of battery capacity of the first UE is smaller than an amount of battery capacity of the second UE, wherein, in the proxy procedure, the second UE monitors the paging of the first UE on the paging occasion based on the proxy request when the user ID is an ID of the second UE performing the proxy procedure, and wherein, when the second UE camps on a specific cell on which the first UE is unable to access, the second UE notifies the fact that the second UE accesses to the specific cell which is not accessible by the first UE and stops the proxy procedure for paging of the first UE.
