Ultrasonic surgical instruments including a handle housing, a switch frame, and a switch assembly are disclosed. The switch assembly may include a first switch arrangement movably supported on a distal portion of the handle housing and selectively movable relative to a first switch contact supported by the switch frame. The switch assembly may further include a second switch arrangement including a right switch button movably supported on a right side of the handle housing and selectively movable relative to a right switch contact supported by the switch frame, and a left switch button movably supported on a left side of the handle housing and selectively movable relative to a left switch contact supported by the switch frame. The first and second switch arrangements may be configured to be selectively actuatable by a single hand supporting the handle housing.

We claim: 1. An ultrasonic surgical instrument, comprising: a generator configured to generate a drive signal; a handle housing comprising a first side and a second side that is opposite to the first side; a switch frame operably supported in the handle housing; and a switch assembly coupled to the handle housing, wherein the switch assembly comprises: a first switch arrangement movably supported on a distal portion of the handle housing, wherein the first switch arrangement is selectively movable relative to a first electrical switch contact supported by the switch frame to pivot the first switch arrangement about a first switch axis to actuate the first electrical switch contact to select a first drive signal that is output by the generator, wherein the first switch axis is substantially non-parallel to a longitudinal axis extending through a shaft of the ultrasonic surgical instrument; and a second switch arrangement, comprising at least one of: a first switch button movably supported on the first side of the handle housing, wherein the first switch button is in electrical communication with the generator and is selectively movable relative to a second electrical switch contact supported by the switch frame to pivot about a first side switch axis so that a first switch arm protruding from the first switch button actuates the second electrical switch contact to select a second drive signal that is output by the generator, and wherein the first side switch axis is substantially non-parallel to the first switch axis; and a second switch button movably supported on the second side of the handle housing, wherein the second switch button is in electrical communication with the generator and is selectively movable relative to a third electrical switch contact supported by the switch frame to pivot about a second side switch axis so that a second switch arm protruding from the second switch button actuates the third electrical switch contact to select a third drive signal that is output by the generator, wherein each of an amplitude of the second drive signal and an amplitude of the third drive signal are different from an amplitude of the first drive signal, and wherein the second side switch axis is substantially non-parallel to the first switch axis; and wherein the first and second switch arrangements are configured to be selectively actuatable by a single hand supporting the handle housing. 2. The ultrasonic surgical instrument of claim 1 , further comprising the shaft extending distally from the handle housing, wherein the first switch arrangement comprises a first button assembly pivotable about the first switch axis. 3. The ultrasonic surgical instrument of claim 2 , wherein: the second switch arrangement comprises the first and the second switch button, the first switch button is pivotally supported relative to the handle housing, and the second switch button is pivotally supported relative to the handle housing. 4. An ultrasonic surgical instrument, comprising: a generator configured to generate ultrasonic drive signals; a handle assembly, comprising: a handle housing comprising a first side and a second side that is opposite to the first side; a switch frame; and a switch assembly, comprising: a first switch arrangement movably supported on a distal portion of the handle housing, wherein the first switch arrangement is in electrical communication with the generator and is selectively movable relative to a first switch contact supported by the switch frame to pivot the first switch arrangement about a first switch axis to actuate the first switch contact to select a first ultrasonic drive signal that is output by the generator; and a second switch arrangement, comprising at least one of: a first switch button movably supported on the first side of the handle housing, wherein the first switch button is in electrical communication with the generator and is selectively movable relative to a second switch contact supported by the switch frame to pivot about a first side switch axis so that a first switch arm protruding from the first switch button actuates the second switch contact to select a second ultrasonic drive signal that is output by the generator, and wherein the first side switch axis is substantially non-parallel to the first switch axis; and a second switch button movably supported on the second side of the handle housing, wherein the second switch button is in electrical communication with the generator and is selectively movable relative to a third switch contact supported by the switch frame to pivot about a second side switch axis so that a second switch arm protruding from the second switch button actuates the third switch contact to select a third ultrasonic drive signal that is output by the generator, wherein each of an amplitude of the second ultrasonic drive signal and an amplitude of the third ultrasonic drive signal are different from an amplitude of the first ultrasonic drive signal, and wherein the second side switch axis is substantially non-parallel to the first switch axis; and wherein the first and second switch arrangements are configured to be selectively actuatable by a single hand supporting the handle housing. 5. The ultrasonic surgical instrument of claim 4 , wherein the switch frame is operably supported in the handle housing proximal to the first switch arrangement and intermediate the first and second switch buttons. 6. The ultrasonic surgical instrument of claim 4 , wherein: the second switch arrangement comprises the first and the second switch button, and each of the first switch arrangement, the first switch button, and the second switch button are pivotally coupled to the switch frame. 7. An ultrasonic surgical instrument, comprising: a generator configured to execute an algorithm to drive the ultrasonic surgical instrument; a handle housing comprising a first side and a second side that is opposite to the first side; a switch frame supported in the handle housing; and a switch assembly coupled to the handle housing, wherein the switch assembly comprises: a first switch arrangement that is selectively movable relative to a first switch contact supported by the switch frame to pivot the first switch arrangement about a first switch axis to actuate the first switch contact to select a first algorithm; and a second switch arrangement, comprising: a first switch button positioned within a thumb groove area defined on the first side of the handle housing, wherein the first switch button is pivotally coupled to the switch frame, and wherein the first switch button is selectively pivotable about a first side switch axis relative to a second switch contact supported by the switch frame to pivot about the first side switch axis so that a first switch arm protruding from the first switch button actuates the second switch contact to select a second algorithm, and wherein the first side switch axis is substantially non-parallel to the first switch axis; and a second switch button positioned within a thumb groove area defined on the second side of the handle housing, wherein the second switch button is pivotally coupled to the switch frame, and wherein the second switch button is selectively pivotable about a second side switch axis relative to a third switch contact supported by the switch frame to pivot about the second side switch axis so that a second switch arm protruding from the second switch button actuates the third switch contact to select a third algorithm, wherein each of an amplitude of the second algorithm and an amplitude of the third algorithm are different from an amplitude of the first algorithm, and wherein the second side switch axis is substantially non-parallel to the first switch axis;
