Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

The present invention relates to compounds of formula (I) having insecticidal activity to processes and interediates for preparing them, to insecticidal, acaricidal, nematicidal or molluscicidal compositions comprising them and to methods of using them to combat and control insect, acarine, nematode or mollusc pests claim 1: or salts thereof.

First claim

The invention claimed is: 1. A compound of formula (V), or salt thereof, wherein R is OH, C 1 -C 6 alkoxy, F, Cl or Br; Q 1 is 4-cyano-phenyl; and R 1 is C 1 -C 8 alkyl, C 2 -C 8 alkenyl, C 2 -C 8 alkynyl, C 1 -C 8 alkylcarbonyl, C 1 -C 8 alkoxycarbonyl, hydroxyl, C 1 -C 8 alkyloxy, or aminocarbonyl-C 1 -C 4 alkylene. 2. A method of producing a compound having the formula (V), or salt thereof, wherein R is OH, C 1 -C 6 alkoxy, F, Cl or Br; Q 1 is 4-cyano-phenyl; and R 1 is C 1 -C 8 alkyl, C 2 -C 8 alkenyl, C 2 -C 8 alkynyl, C 1 -C 8 alkylcarbonyl, C 1 -C 8 alkoxycarbonyl, hydroxyl, C 1 -C 8 alkyloxy, or aminocarbonyl-C 1 -C 4 alkylene; the method comprising reacting a compound of formula (IV), or salt thereof, wherein R 1 ′ is C 1 -C 8 alkyl, C 2 -C 8 alkenyl, C 2 -C 8 alkynyl, C 1 -C 8 alkylcarbonyl, C 1 -C 8 alkoxycarbonyl, hydroxyl, C 1 -C 8 alkyloxy or aminocarbonyl-C 1 -C 4 alkylene; and R′ is OH, C 1 -C 6 alkoxy, F, Cl or Br, by acylation with a carboxylic acid of formula Q 1 -COOH or an acid halide of formula Q 1 -COHal, wherein Hal is Cl, F, or Br. 3. The method of claim 2 , wherein R 1 and R 1 ′ are selected from methyl, ethyl, n-propyl and n-butyl.
