An input display device includes: a processor to execute a program; and a memory to store the program which, when executed by the processor, results in performance of steps including: receiving an input of a track by a receiving unit; generating a track image showing the track; acquiring a character string; and displaying the character string acquired in the acquiring to be superimposed on the track image. When the character string is acquired in the acquiring before the track image is generated, the displaying the character string is stood by.

First claim

The invention claimed is: 1. An input display device for showing voice recognition results along a user defined track, the input display device comprising: a processor to execute a program; and a memory to store the program which, when executed by the processor, results in performance of steps comprising: receiving a track input by a receiving unit; generating a track image showing the track, the track image having a line width corresponding to a character height stored in the memory; acquiring a character string corresponding to a voice recognition result; displaying the generated track image on a display; and superimposing the acquired character string on the displayed track image, wherein when the character string is acquired in the acquiring before the receiving the track input, the displaying the character string is stood by, and when the track input is received in the receiving, the displaying the generated track image and the superimposing the acquired character string on the displayed track image are performed. 2. The input display device according to claim 1 , wherein when the character string is acquired before the track image is generated, the displaying the character string is stood by, and after the track image is displayed, the displaying the character string is performed to be superimposed on the track image. 3. The input display device according to claim 1 , wherein the track is a continuous change in a position of an object in contact with the receiving unit. 4. The input display device according to claim 1 , the steps further comprising: deleting the track image after the displaying the character string to be superimposed on the track image. 5. The input display device according to claim 1 , wherein in the displaying the character string, characters of the character string acquired in the acquiring is displayed sequentially in order starting with a first one of the characters and ending with a last one of the characters. 6. The input display device according to claim 1 , the steps further comprising: detecting a state of the input of the track received in the receiving, and wherein in the generating, a track image having a line width corresponding to the state of the input of the track detected in the detecting is generated. 7. The input display device according to claim 6 , wherein in the generating, when the state of the input of the track detected in the detecting changes in a middle of the input of the track, the track image whose line width changes in a middle of the track image is generated. 8. The input display device according to claim 1 , the steps further comprising: acquiring a result of determination of a language of the voice when the acquiring the character string is performed, and in the displaying, the track image generated in a color corresponding to the language acquired by the acquiring the result of determination of the language is displayed. 9. The input display device according to claim 1 , the steps further comprising: switching between operations each of which is to be received by the receiving unit; generating an image, when an operation after the switching is a drawing operation on the display, in accordance with a drawing operation received by the receiving unit; and when an operation after the switching is the input of the track, determining the track of a line inputted in the receiving to generate a track image showing the track, and wherein when an operation after the switching is the drawing operation, the image generated in the generating the image is displayed on the display, and when an operation after the switching is the input of the track, the track image generated in the generating the track image is displayed on the display. 10. The input display device according to claim 1 , wherein the input display device further comprises a display on which an image is displayed. 11. An input display method for showing voice recognition results along a user defined track, the method comprising: receiving a track input; generating a track image showing the track, the track image having a line width corresponding to a character height stored in the memory; acquiring a character string corresponding to a voice recognition result, displaying the generated track image on a display; and superimposing the acquired character string on the displayed track image, wherein when the character string is acquired before the track input is received, the displaying of the character string is stood by, and when the track input is received, the generated track image is displayed and the acquired character string is superimposed on the displayed track image. 12. A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform the following method for showing voice recognition results along a user defined track: receiving a track input; generating a track image showing the track, the track image having a line width corresponding to a character height stored in the memory; and acquiring a character string corresponding to a voice recognition result; displaying the generated track image on a display; and superimposing the acquired character string on the displayed track image, wherein when the character string is acquired before the track input is received, the displaying of the character string is stood by, and when the track input is received, the generated track image is displayed and the acquired character string is superimposed on the displayed track image.
