A display device may include a substrate having a first pixel area, a first electrode on the substrate; a passivation layer between the substrate and the first electrode, a second electrode on the first electrode, and an organic emission layer between the first electrode and the second electrode. The first pixel area may include an emission area and a non-emission area surrounded by the emission area.

What is claimed is: 1. A display device, comprising: a substrate having a first pixel area, a second pixel area, and a third pixel area; each of the first pixel area, the second pixel area and the third pixel area includes; a first electrode on the substrate; a passivation layer between the substrate and the first electrode; a second electrode on the first electrode; and an organic emission layer between the first electrode and the second electrode, wherein the first pixel area, the second pixel area, and the third pixel area emit different colors, and each of the first pixel area, the second pixel area, and the third pixel area includes an emission area and a non-emission area surrounded by the emission area. 2. The display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a distance from an edge of the first pixel area to the non-emission area of the first pixel area is equal to or less than about 50 μm. 3. The display device as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the first electrode and the organic emission layer are in the emission area of the first pixel area. 4. The display device as claimed in claim 3 , wherein a distance from an edge of the second pixel area to the non-emission area of the second pixel area is equal to or less than about 50 μm, a distance from an edge of the third pixel area to the non-emission area of the third pixel area is equal to or less than about 50 μm, and the first electrode and the organic emission layer are in the emission area of the second pixel area and the emission area of the third pixel area. 5. The display device as claimed in claim 4 , wherein the substrate further includes a transmissive area adjacent to the first pixel area, the second pixel area, and the third pixel area. 6. The display device as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the first electrode and the organic emission layer are not in the transmissive area. 7. The display device as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the second electrode is positioned in the first pixel area, the second pixel area, the third pixel area, and the transmissive area. 8. The display device as claimed in claim 7 , further comprising: a buffer layer the substrate; and a thin film transistor on the buffer layer and connected to the first electrode, wherein the second electrode contacts the buffer layer in the transmissive area. 9. The display device as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a buried pattern in the non-emission area of the first pixel area. 10. The display device as claimed in claim 9 , further comprising a pixel defining layer that surrounds an edge of the first pixel area, wherein the buried pattern is made of the same material as the pixel defining layer, and is positioned at the same layer as the pixel defining layer. 11. The display device as claimed in claim 9 , wherein the first electrode is formed as multiple layers including a transparent conductive material layer and a reflective metal material layer. 12. The display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the non-emission area of the first pixel area is formed to have at least one of a quadrangular shape, a circular shape, and a cross shape, in a plan view. 13. The display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the first pixel includes a plurality of non-emission areas, and a distance between the plurality of non-emission areas adjacent to each other is equal to or less than about 50 μm. 14. The display device as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising: a thin film transistor connected to the first electrode, wherein the thin film transistor is positioned in the first pixel area. 15. The display device as claimed in claim 14 , wherein the thin film transistor overlaps at least some of the non-emission area of the first pixel area. 16. The display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the passivation layer includes a first portion having a first height and a second portion having a second height that is greater than the first height. 17. The display device as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the second portion of the passivation layer is at an edge of the first pixel area. 18. The display device as claimed in claim 17 , wherein the first electrode includes a step between the first portion and the second portion of the passivation layer. 19. The display device as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a groove in the passivation layer in the non-emission area of the first pixel area. 20. The display device as claimed in claim 19 , wherein a width of the groove is narrower than that of the non-emission area. 21. The display device as claimed in claim 19 , further comprising a buried pattern in the groove. 22. The display device as claimed in claim 21 , further comprising a pixel defining layer that surrounds an edge of the first pixel area, wherein the buried pattern is made of the same material as the pixel defining layer, and is positioned at the same layer as the pixel defining layer. 23. The display device as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a groove in the passivation layer adjacent to an edge of the first pixel area. 24. The display device as claimed in claim 23 , further comprising a buried pattern in the groove. 25. The display device as claimed in claim 24 , further comprising a pixel defining layer integrated with the buried pattern to surround an edge of the first pixel area, wherein the buried pattern is made of the same material as the pixel defining layer. 26. A display device, comprising: a substrate having a first pixel area; a first electrode on the substrate; a passivation layer between the substrate and the first electrode; a second electrode on the first electrode; and an organic emission layer between the first electrode and the second electrode, wherein the first pixel area includes an emission area and a non-emission area surrounded by the emission area, and a ratio of the non-emission area of the first pixel area to the first pixel area is equal to or greater than about 5% and equal to or less than about 20%. 27. A display device, comprising: a substrate including: a first pixel area, a second pixel area, a third pixel area, and a transmissive area that is adjacent to the first pixel area, the second pixel area, and the third pixel area, and each of the first pixel area, the second pixel area, and the third pixel area includes an emission area and a non-emission area surrounded by the emission area; a first electrode on the substrate; a passivation layer between the substrate and the first electrode; a second electrode on the first electrode; and an organic emission layer between the first electrode and the second electrode, wherein the first electrode and the organic emission layer are not in the transmissive area, and the second electrode is in the first pixel area, the second pixel area, the third pixel area, and the transmissive area. 28. The display device as claimed in claim 27 , wherein the second pixel area is between the first pixel area and the third pixel area, and a first groove is at a first edge of the transmissive area adjacent to the second pixel area. 29. The display device as claimed in claim 28 , wherein a width of the second pixel area is wider than those of the first pixel area and the third pixel area. 30.
