What is claimed is: 1. A method for providing fantasy sports contest info, the method comprising: receiving, using input circuitry, a data stream comprising information about a real-life event corresponding to a real-life sports contest of a media asset; retrieving, from a database, a user profile including information about a fantasy sports contest for which the user participates and a plurality of real-life sports players on the user's fantasy sports roster associated with the fantasy sports contest; comparing data from the user profile to information about the real-life event to determine whether a real-life sports player associated with the real-life event matches a real-life sports player of the plurality of real-life sports players on the user's fantasy sports roster; and in response to determining that the real-life sports player associated with the real-life event matches the real-life sports player of the plurality of real-life sports player's on the user's fantasy sports roster, generating for display, on a display device; information indicating to the user that the media asset is related to the fantasy sports contest for which the user participates; and an overlay comprising fantasy sports information associated with the event. 2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: determining a number of real-life sports players included in the media asset that are also included in the user's fantasy sports roster; and scheduling the media for automatic recording based on a determination that the number is greater than a threshold minimum number of real-life sports players. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the event corresponds to an accumulation of a statistic by a real-life sports player, further comprising determining whether the statistic changes a standing of the user in the fantasy sports contest. 4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising generating for display a video corresponding to the real-life event in response to determining that the real-life sports player associated with the real-life event matches the real-life sports player of the plurality of real-life sports player's on the user's fantasy sports roster. 5. The method of claim 1 , wherein generating for display the overlay comprising the fantasy sports information associated with the event, further comprises: computing a number of points in the fantasy sports contest associated with the event; and generating for display the overlay including the number of points. 6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: retrieving, from the user profile, a recording priority associated with the fantasy sports contest for which the user participates; and determining whether to schedule the media asset for recording based on the recording priority. 7. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: identifying a plurality of real-life sports players included in the media asset that are also included in the user's fantasy sports team roster; and generating for display information indicating to the user that the plurality of real-life sports players are included in both the user's fantasy sports team roster and the media asset. 8. A system comprising control circuitry configured to providing fantasy sports contest info, wherein the control circuitry is configured to: receive, using input circuitry, a data stream comprising information about a real-life event corresponding to a real-life sports contest of a media asset; retrieve, from a database, a user profile including information about a fantasy sports contest for which the user participates and a plurality of real-life sports players on the user's fantasy sports roster associated with the fantasy sports contest; compare data from the user profile to information about the real-life event to determine whether a real-life sports player associated with the real-life event matches a real-life sports player of the plurality of real-life sports players on the user's fantasy sports roster; and in response to determining that the real-life sports player associated with the real-life event matches the real-life sports player of the plurality of real-life sports player's on the user's fantasy sports roster, generate for display, on a display device: information indicating to the user that the media asset is related to the fantasy sports contest for which the user participates; and an overlay comprising fantasy sports information associated with the event. 9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the control circuitry is further configured to: determine a number of real-life sports players included in the media asset that are also included in the user's fantasy sports roster; and schedule the media for automatic recording based on a determination that the number is greater than a threshold minimum number of real-life sports players. 10. The system of claim 8 , wherein the event corresponds to an accumulation of a statistic by a real-life sports player, and wherein the control circuitry is further configured to determine whether the statistic changes a standing of the user in the fantasy sports contest. 11. The system of claim 8 , wherein the control circuitry is further configured to generate for display a video corresponding to the real-life event in response to determining that the real-life sports player associated with the real-life event matches the real-life sports player of the plurality of real-life sports player's on the user's fantasy sports roster. 12. The system of claim 8 , wherein the control circuitry is further configured, when generating for display the overlay comprising the fantasy sports information associated with the event, to: compute a number of points in the fantasy sports contest associated with the event; and generate for display the overlay including the number of points. 13. The system of claim 8 , wherein the control circuitry is further configured to: retrieve, from the user profile, a recording priority associated with the fantasy sports contest for which the user participates; and determine whether to schedule the media asset for recording based on the recording priority. 14. The system of claim 8 , wherein the control circuitry is further configured to: identify a plurality of real-life sports players included in the media asset that are also included in the user's fantasy sports team roster; and generate for display information indicating to the user that the plurality of real-life sports players are included in both the user's fantasy sports team roster and the media asset.
