The invention claimed is: 1. A cigarette filter tow band comprising: a crimped bundle of a plurality of filaments; and a detectable marker for identifying a source of the tow band, wherein the marker comprises one or more compounds; all of the one or more compounds are compounds each having a boiling point of from 100° C. to 450° C. at 1 atmospheric pressure; the one or more compounds comprise a compound containing, per molecule, one or more straight or branched chain aliphatic hydrocarbon groups each having a chain length of 6 or more carbon atoms; and the marker comprises neither α-tocopherol nor sterols. 2. The cigarette filter tow band according to claim 1 , wherein the marker comprises two or more different compounds in combination. 3. A method for producing a cigarette filter tow band, the tow band comprising a crimped bundle of a plurality of filaments; and a marker for identifying a source of the tow band, wherein the cigarette filter tow band is loaded with a textile oil, the marker comprises one or more compounds, and all of the one or more compounds are compounds each having a boiling point of from 100° C. to 450° C. at 1 atmospheric pressure, the method comprising the steps of: A) forming filaments; D) unifying a plurality of the filaments to form a tow; B) loading the filaments or the tow with the textile oil; C) loading the filaments or the tow with the marker; and E) crimping the tow to form the cigarette filter tow band. 4. The cigarette filter tow band according to claim 1 , wherein the marker comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of a C 8 -C 40 straight or branched chain saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon and a C 8 -C 40 straight or branched chain unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon.
