Abstract

To provide novel pesticides, especially insecticides or acaricides.
A condensed heterocyclic compound represented by the formula (1) or its salt or an N-oxide thereof:

wherein D substituted with —S(O) n R 1 is a ring represented by any one of D1, D2 and D3, Q is a ring represented by any one of Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4, R 1 is C 1 -C 6 alkyl, C 1 -C 6 haloalkyl, (C 1 -C 6 ) alkyl optionally substituted with R 1a , C 2 -C 6 alkenyl, C 2 -C 6 haloalkenyl, C 2 -C 6 alkynyl, C 2 -C 6 haloalkynyl, C 3 -C 6 cycloalkyl, C 3 -C 6 halocycloalkyl, C 3 -C 6 cycloalkyl (C 1 -C 6 ) alkyl, C 3 -C 6 halocycloalkyl (C 1 -C 6 ) alkyl or hydroxy (C 1 -C 6 ) alkyl, R 1a is C 1 -C 8 alkoxycarbonyl, and n is an integer of 0, 1 or 2.

First claim

The invention claimed is:

1. A condensed heterocylic compound represented by the formula or its salt or an N-oxide thereof:

wherein Q is Q1 or Q2:

wherein R 1 is C 1 -C 6 alkyl, C 1 -C 6 haloalkyl, or C 2 -C 6 alkenyl;
R 3 is a hydrogen atom, C 1 -C 6 alkyl, C 1 -C 6 haloalkyl, or C 2 -C 6 haloalkenyl;
G 1 is C(Y1);
G 2 is C(Y2);
G 3 is C(Y3);
G 4 is C(Y4);
each of Y1, Y2, Y3 and Y4 is independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, C 1 -C 6 alkyl, C 1 -C 6 haloalkyl, C 2 -C 6 alkenyl, C 2 -C 6 haloalkenyl, C 1 -C 6 alkylthio, or cyano;
A 1 is O or N(A 1a ), wherein A 1a is a hydrogen atom, C 1 -C 6 alkyl, or C 1 -C 6 haloalkyl;
A 2 is CH;
A 3 is C(R 3 );
A 4 is CH when Q is Q1, and N when Q is Q2;
A 5 is N when Q is Q1, and CH when Q is Q2;
R 6 is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or C 1 -C 6 alkyl; and
n is an integer of 0, 1 or 2.

2. The compound of claim 1 , wherein Q is Q1.

3. The compound of claim 1 , wherein R 1 is C 1 -C 6 alkyl.

4. The compound of claim 3 , wherein R 1 is ethyl.

5. The compound of claim 4 , wherein A 1 is N(A 1a ) and A 1a is C 1 -C 6 alkyl.

6. The compound of claim 5 , wherein A 1a is methyl.

7. The compound of claim 6 , wherein R 3 is C 1 -C 6 haloalkyl.

8. The compound of claim 7 , wherein R 3 is trifluoromethyl.

9. The compound of claim 6 , wherein Y1, Y2, and Y4 are a hydrogen atom.

10. The compound of claim 9 , wherein Y3 is a halogen atom.

11. The compound of claim 10 , wherein Y3 is iodine.

12. The compound of claim 9 , wherein Y3 is C 1 -C 6 haloalkyl.

13. The compound of claim 12 , wherein Y3 is trifluormethyl.

14. The compound of claim 10 , wherein Y3 is bromine.

15. The compound of claim 7 , wherein R 3 is pentafluorethyl.

16. The compound of claim 9 , wherein Y3 is C 1 -C 6 alkylthio.

17. The compound of claim 16 , wherein Y3 is methylthio.

18. The compound of claim 6 , wherein Y1, Y3, and Y4 are a hydrogen atom.

19. The compound of claim 18 , wherein Y2 is C 1 -C 6 haloalkyl.

20. The compound of claim 19 , wherein Y2 is trifluoromethyl.

21. The compound of claim 1 , wherein Q is Q2.

22. The compound of claim 21 , wherein Y1, Y3, and Y4 are a hydrogen atom.

23. The compound of claim 22 , wherein Y2 is C 1 -C 6 haloalkyl.

24. The compound of claim 23 , wherein Y2 is trifluoromethyl.

25. The compound of claim 24 , wherein R 3 is C 1 -C 6 haloalkyl.

26. The compound of claim 25 , wherein R 3 is pentafluorethyl.
