A dynamic transaction card that includes a number of layers, each of which may be interconnected to one another. For example, a dynamic transaction card may include an outer layer, a potting layer, a sensor layer, a display layer (including, for example, LEDs, a dot matrix display, and the like), a microcontroller/microprocessor storing firmware, Java applets, Java applet integration, and the like, an EMV processor, an energy storage component, one or more antenna (e.g., Bluetooth antenna, NFC antenna, and the like), a power management component, a flexible printed circuit board (PCB), a chassis, and/or a card backing layer. A display layer may include enhanced features such as the use of display components as a barcode generator.

The invention claimed is: 1. A dynamic transaction card comprising: an application that is account-provider specific and includes instructions to generate a barcode; a microprocessor that receives application data from the application and activates a display component via a display driver; and the display component comprising a plurality of LED lights, wherein the plurality of LED lights are individually driven at different frequencies such that a light wave generated from each LED light constructively interferes with the light waves generated by other LED lights to create one or more special voids in an analog wave to generate the barcode that is readable by a barcode reader. 2. The dynamic transaction card of claim 1 , wherein the LED lights are pulsed at different time intervals such that the light wave generated from each LED light constructively interferes with light waves generated by other LED lights. 3. The dynamic transaction card of claim 1 , wherein a mobile device transmits the instructions via a wireless connection; and wherein the dynamic transaction card receives the instructions via an antenna. 4. The dynamic transaction card of claim 1 , wherein the barcode reader comprises an illumination system, a sensor, and/or a decoder. 5. The dynamic transaction card of claim 4 , wherein the decoder determines whether a digital signal comprises a valid barcode. 6. The dynamic transaction card of claim 1 , wherein the barcode generated by the display component represents account data and/or transaction data. 7. The dynamic transaction card of claim 6 , wherein the account data comprises an account balance, account limit, transaction history, budget balance and/or budget limit. 8. The dynamic transaction card of claim 6 , wherein the transaction data comprises a transaction amount, effect of a transaction on a budget, and/or account balance. 9. The dynamic transaction card of claim 1 , wherein the display component comprises LED lights that indicate an account balance via a color, number of LED lights illuminated, and/or a pattern of illumination. 10. The dynamic transaction card of claim 1 , wherein the display component comprises OLED lights and/or a Quantum Dot Display. 11. The dynamic transaction card of claim 1 , further comprising an outer protective layer having an outer edge and a card backing having an outer edge, wherein the card backing outer edge and the outer protective layer outer edge are connected along the respective outer edges to one another to form a casing for the internal components of the dynamic transaction card. 12. The dynamic transaction card of claim 1 , further comprising: a sensor that detects an input to the dynamic transaction card; wherein the instructions to generate the barcode are based in part on the input received by the sensor. 13. The dynamic transaction card of claim 1 , further comprising: an EMV processor in communication with the microprocessor; and an energy storage component to power the dynamic transaction card. 14. The dynamic transaction card of claim 1 , wherein the LED lights are driven at frequencies greater than 50 Hz. 15. A method of operating a dynamic transaction card comprising: generating, via an application that includes instructions to generate a barcode, application data including the instructions to generate the barcode; receiving, via a microprocessor, the application data including the instructions to generate the barcode; transmitting, via the microprocessor, the application data to a display driver; translating, via the display driver, the application data into the barcode; activating, by the display driver, a display component; and displaying, by a plurality of LED lights of the display component, the barcode; wherein the barcode is created using constructive interference to generate an analog wave; and wherein the plurality of LED lights are individually driven at different frequencies such that a light wave generated from each LED light constructively interferes with light waves generated by other LED lights, creating one or more spatial light voids in the analog wave forming the barcode. 16. The method of claim 15 , wherein the plurality of LED lights are pulsed at different time intervals such that the light wave generated from each LED light constructively interferes with light waves generated by other LED lights. 17. The method of claim 15 , wherein the dynamic transaction card further comprises an antenna, the method further comprising: receiving, at the antenna, the instructions to generate the barcode from a mobile device. 18. The method of claim 15 , wherein the barcode displayed by the display component represents account data and/or transaction data. 19. The method of claim 18 , wherein the account data comprises an account balance, account limit, transaction history, budget balance, and/or budget limit. 20. The method of claim 15 , wherein the analog wave is readable by a barcode reader and not readable by a human eye.
