To provide a polyamide compound having better properties than conventional polyamide compounds. A polyamide compound comprising a dicarboxylic acid unit represented by the following general formula (1) and a diamine unit represented by the following general formula (2). The polyamide compound of the present invention is characterized by having high energy absorption and high water-absorption resistance rate, and being amorphous (transparent).

The invention claimed is: 1. A polyamide compound comprising: a dicarboxylic acid unit represented by the following general formula (1) and a diamine unit represented by the following general formula (2): (wherein n represents 11, and m represents 11; R 1 represents n-C 9 H 19 ; and R 2 represents n-C 9 H 19 ); (wherein A represents a divalent organic group selected from the following group) 2. The polyamide compound according to claim 1 , further comprising: a diamine unit represented by the following general formula (3): (wherein B represents a divalent organic group selected from the following group, with the proviso that A and B are different) 3. The polyamide compound according to claim 1 , wherein A is the following divalent organic group 4. The polyamide compound according to claim 2 , wherein A is the following divalent organic group 5. A method for producing the polyamide compound as defined in claim 1 , comprising reacting a dicarboxylic acid compound having a structure represented by the following general formula (4) with a diamine compound: (wherein n represents 11, and m represents an integer of 11; R 1 represents n-C 9 H 19 , and R 2 represents n-C 9 H 19 ). 6. A method for producing the polyamide compound as defined in claim 2 , comprising reacting a dicarboxylic acid compound having a structure represented by the following general formula (4) with a diamine compound: (wherein n represents 11, and m represents an integer of 11; R 1 represents n-C 9 H 19 , and R 2 represents n-C 9 H 19 ). 7. A method for producing the polyamide compound as defined in claim 3 , comprising reacting a dicarboxylic acid compound having a structure represented by the following general formula (4) with a diamine compound: (wherein n represents 11, and m represents an integer of 11; R 1 represents n-C 9 H 19 , and R 2 represents n-C 9 H 19 ).
