A wireless power transmission apparatus for high efficiency energy charging, includes a resonator configured to transmit power, and a power supply unit configured to supply power to the resonator. The apparatus further includes a first switching unit configured to connect the resonator to the power supply unit, and disconnect the resonator from the power supply unit, and a controller configured to control the first switching unit based on an amount of current flowing into the resonator.

What is claimed is: 1. A wireless power transmission apparatus for high efficiency energy charging, the apparatus comprising: a resonator configured to transmit wireless power; a power supply unit configured to supply power; a converter configured to adjust a voltage applied to an input resistor of the power supply unit by converting the supplied power and output the converted power to the resonator; a first switching unit configured to connect the resonator to the power supply unit, and disconnect the resonator from the power supply unit; and a controller configured to control the first switching unit based on a result of comparing an amount of a current flowing into the resonator to an amount of predetermined current, wherein the resonator is disconnected from the power supply unit and the input resistor in response to the first switching unit being turned off. 2. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the controller comprises a current sensor configured to sense the amount of the current based on the voltage applied to the input resistor. 3. The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein: the current sensor comprises a comparator configured to compare the voltage applied to the input resistor to predetermined voltage corresponding to an amount of predetermined current; and the controller is configured to control a turning on and off of the first switching unit based on a result of the comparing. 4. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to turn off the first switching unit to disconnect the resonator from the power supply unit in response to the voltage applied to the input resistor being greater than or equal to a reference voltage. 5. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first switching unit comprises: a transistor disposed between the power supply unit and the resonator; and a diode connected in series to the transistor. 6. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the input resistor is connected with the power supply unit in series.
