Provided herein is an inventory management system for dispensing products from an enclosure, methods of securing products within the enclosure, use of the enclosure and for maintaining inventory. The inventory management system may include an enclosure having a self-locking door. The self locking door may include a door, a lock located on the door, a strike plate, wherein the strike plate controls the lock, and a sensor configured to detect the presence of a user and wherein the sensor controls the lock.

What is claimed is: 1. A product dispensing enclosure comprising: an enclosure; a self-locking door coupled to the enclosure; a lock in mechanical communication with the self-locking door; a strike plate configured to engage the lock, wherein the strike plate controls the locking of the door; and a sensor for detecting the presence of a user proximal to the door, wherein the sensor is coupled to the lock and is further configured to control the lock, wherein the strike plate and the sensor both independently control the locking of the door. 2. The enclosure of claim 1 wherein the enclosure is a cabinet. 3. The enclosure of claim 2 wherein the cabinet has at least two sides. 4. The enclosure of the claim 2 wherein the cabinet is a cylindrical cabinet. 5. The enclosure of claim 1 wherein the lock may be located on the door. 6. The enclosure of claim 1 wherein the lock may be located on the enclosure. 7. The enclosure of claim 1 further comprising a badge reader. 8. The enclosure of claim 7 wherein the badge reader is an RFID badge reader. 9. The enclosure of claim 1 further comprising a display screen. 10. The enclosure of claim 9 wherein the display screen is a touch display screen configured to provide at least one of access to the enclosure, displaying contents of the enclosure, or help functionality. 11. The enclosure of claim 1 wherein the strike-plate is a magnetic strike-plate.
