We claim: 1. A cleaning composition comprising: (a) at least about 15 wt. % (based on the total weight of the composition) ethoxylated C 16-22 alcohol having from 25 to 55 ethoxy groups, wherein the ethoxylated C 16-22 alcohol can act as an adhesion promoter; (b) two or more linear primary alcohols, wherein each alcohol includes a carbon chain containing 9 to 17 carbons; (c) greater than 0 to about 3 wt. % of a non-polar hydrocarbon; (d) anionic surfactant; (e) at least about 40 wt. % water; wherein the composition is a self-adhesive gel having a gel temperature of at least about 50° C. 2. The composition of claim 1 , further comprising a solvent, which includes glycerin and/or alkylene glycol having 2 to 6 carbon atoms. 3. The composition of claim 2 , comprising about 1 to 12 wt. % glycerin. 4. The composition of claim 1 , further comprising glycerin and a fragrance. 5. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the ethoxylated C 16-22 alcohol comprises an ethoxylated C 16 alcohol and/or an ethoxylated C 18 alcohol. 6. The composition of claim 1 , further comprising a polysaccharide. 7. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the non-polar hydrocarbon comprises mineral oil. 8. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the non-polar hydrocarbon comprises about 0.5 to 3 wt. % of mineral oil, and the composition further comprises about 5 to 10 wt. % of glycerin and from zero to about 6 wt. % of a fragrance. 9. The composition of claim 1 , further comprising cationic surfactant. 10. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the self-adhesive gel has a gel temperature of about 50 to 80° C. 11. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the anionic surfactant comprises an alkali metal C 6-18 alkyl ether sulfate. 12. The composition of claim 11 , wherein the anionic surfactant comprises sodium lauryl ether sulfate. 13. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the two or more linear primary alcohols comprise a C 12 linear primary alcohol, a C 13 linear primary alcohol, or a combination thereof. 14. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition comprises greater than 0 to about 2.0 wt. % of the two or more linear primary alcohols. 15. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition further comprises a hydrophilic polymer based on acrylic acid and/or an acrylate. 16. The composition of claim 15 , wherein the hydrophilic polymer is an acrylic acid copolymer and/or terpolymer having quaternized ammonium groups.
