A press apparatus includes a press assembly and an activation assembly. The press assembly includes a plurality of dies. The plurality of dies defines a center opening for receiving a work piece. The central opening defines a central longitudinal axis. The activation assembly is adapted to actuate the press assembly. The activation assembly includes a first switch and a second switch. The second switch includes a capacitive touch surface that faces in a direction toward the central longitudinal axis of the press assembly.

What is claimed is: 1. A press apparatus comprising: a press assembly including a plurality of dies, the plurality of dies defining a center opening for receiving a work piece, the center opening defining a central longitudinal axis; and an activation assembly adapted to actuate the press assembly, the activation assembly including a first switch and a second switch, the second switch includes a capacitive touch surface that faces in a direction toward the central longitudinal axis of the press assembly; wherein the plurality of dies defines a plane that extends through the plurality of dies and is perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis, the plane separating the press assembly into a first region and an oppositely disposed second region, the first switch being disposed in the first region of the press assembly and the second switch being disposed in the second region of the press assembly. 2. The press apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the press apparatus includes a base, the press assembly being mounted to the base at an oblique angle. 3. The press apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the oblique angle is greater than or equal to about 45°. 4. A crimp machine adapted to crimp a hose assembly, the crimp machine comprising: a press assembly including a plurality of dies, the plurality of dies defining a center opening adapted to receive a hose assembly, the center opening defining a central longitudinal axis, the central longitudinal axis being disposed so that the hose assembly is aligned with the central longitudinal axis when the hose assembly is disposed in the center opening; and an activation assembly adapted to actuate the press assembly, the activation assembly including a first switch and a second switch, the press assembly being actuated when the second switch is actuated while the first switch is being actuated, the second switch including a touch surface that faces in the direction of the hose assembly when the hose assembly is disposed in the center opening of the plurality of dies; wherein the plurality of dies defines a plane that extends through the plurality of dies and is perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis, the plane separating the press assembly into a first region and an oppositely disposed second region, the first switch being disposed in the first region of the press assembly and the second switch being disposed in the second region of the press assembly. 5. The press apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the work-piece is a hose assembly including a fitting assembly and a hose. 6. The press apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the second switch is disposed on the press apparatus so that an operator can actuate the touch surface with a hand that is simultaneously holding the work-piece being manipulated by the press assembly. 7. A crimp machine adapted to crimp a hose assembly, the crimp machine comprising: a press assembly including a plurality of dies, the plurality of dies defining a center opening adapted to receive a hose assembly; and an activation assembly adapted to actuate the press assembly, the activation assembly including a first switch and a second switch, the press assembly being actuated when the second switch is actuated while the first switch is being actuated, the second switch including a touch surface that faces in the direction of the hose assembly when the hose assembly is disposed in the central opening of the plurality of dies. 8. The crimp machine of claim 7 , wherein the crimp machine includes a base, the press assembly being mounted to the base at an oblique angle. 9. The crimp machine of claim 8 , wherein the oblique angle is greater than or equal to 45°. 10. The crimp machine of claim 7 , wherein the touch surface is a capacitive touch surface.
