A method for execution by one or more processing modules of one or more computing devices of a dispersed storage network (DSN). The method begins by receiving a data access requests with regards to a data object. The method continues by identifying a vault set based on the data access request, where a plurality of storage vaults includes the vault set. The method continues by obtaining configuration information associated with the vault set and determining whether to process the data access request based on the obtained configuration information associated with the vault set.

What is claimed is: 1. A method for execution by one or more processing modules of one or more computing devices of a dispersed storage network (DSN), the method comprises: receiving a data access request with regards to a data object; identifying a vault set based on the data access request, where a plurality of storage vaults includes the vault set; obtaining configuration information associated with the vault set, wherein the configuration information includes synchronization parameters for frequency of synchronization checks and a maximum allowable duration for a synchronization cycle; determining whether to process the data access request based on the obtained configuration information associated with the vault set; and processing the data access request in accordance with the obtained configuration information associated with the vault set. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the receiving includes one or more of: identifying a requesting entity, identifying a data access request type, or identifying the data object. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the identifying includes utilizing one or more of: a requesting entity identifier, a data access type, a data identifier, accessing at least one of a DSN directory, a system registry information, or a dispersed hierarchical index to extract an identifier of the vault set. 4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the obtaining configuration information includes retrieving the configuration information from a local memory based on the identifying of the vault set or recovering the configuration information from at least one storage vault of the plurality of storage vaults. 5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the determining whether to process the data access request based on the obtained configuration information associated with the vault set includes performing an authentication of the data access request utilizing the configuration information to produce an authorization request. 6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the configuration information further includes one or more of: vault identifiers, information dispersal algorithm (IDA) parameters, access controls, index information, usage levels, delete controls, or versioning information. 7. A computing device of a group of computing devices of a dispersed storage network (DSN), the computing device comprises: an interface; a local memory; and a processing module operably coupled to the interface and the local memory, wherein the processing module functions to: receive a data access request with regards to a data object; identify a vault set based on the data access request, where a plurality of storage vaults includes the vault set; obtain configuration information associated with the vault set, wherein the configuration information includes synchronization parameters for frequency of synchronization checks and a maximum allowable duration for a synchronization cycle; and determine whether to process the data access request based on the obtained configuration information associated with the vault set; and process the data access request in accordance with the obtained configuration information associated with the vault set. 8. The computing device of claim 7 , wherein the receive a data access request includes one or more of: identifying a requesting entity, identifying a data access request type, or identifying the data object. 9. The computing device of claim 7 , wherein the identify a vault set includes utilizing one or more of: a requesting entity identifier, a data access type, a data identifier, accessing at least one of a DSN directory, a system registry information, or a dispersed hierarchical index to extract an identifier of the vault set. 10. The computing device of claim 7 , wherein the obtain configuration information includes retrieving the configuration information from a local memory based on the identified vault set or recovering the configuration information from at least one storage vault of the plurality of storage vaults. 11. The computing device of claim 7 , wherein the determine whether to process the data access request based on the obtained configuration information associated with the vault set includes performing an authentication of the data access request utilizing the configuration information to produce an authorization request. 12. The computing device of claim 7 , wherein the configuration information further includes one or more of: vault identifiers, information dispersal algorithm (IDA) parameters, access controls, index information, usage levels, delete controls, or versioning information. 13. A system, the system comprises: an interface; a local memory; and a processing module operably coupled to the interface and the local memory, wherein the processing module functions to: receive a data access request with regards to a data object; identify a vault set based on the data access request, where a plurality of storage vaults includes the vault set; obtain configuration information associated with the vault set, wherein the configuration information includes synchronization parameters for frequency of synchronization checks and a maximum allowable duration for a synchronization cycle; determine whether to process the data access request based on the obtained configuration information associated with the vault set; and process the data access request in accordance with the obtained configuration information associated with the vault set. 14. The system of claim 13 , wherein the receive a data access request includes one or more of: identifying a requesting entity, identifying a data access request type, or identifying the data object. 15. The system of claim 13 , wherein the identify a vault set includes utilizing one or more of: a requesting entity identifier, a data access type, a data identifier, accessing at least one of a DSN directory, a system registry information, or a dispersed hierarchical index to extract an identifier of the vault set. 16. The system of claim 13 , wherein the obtain configuration information includes retrieving the configuration information from a local memory based on the identified vault set or recovering the configuration information from at least one storage vault of the plurality of storage vaults. 17. The system of claim 13 , wherein the determine whether to process the data access request based on the obtained configuration information associated with the vault set includes performing an authentication of the data access request utilizing the configuration information to produce an authorization request. 18. The system of claim 13 , wherein the configuration information further includes one or more of: vault identifiers, information dispersal algorithm (IDA) parameters, access controls, index information, usage levels, delete controls, or versioning information.
