Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Systems and methods are provided for calculating a savings amount for loan refinancing. According to one implementation, a method includes displaying a graphic user interface comprising a widget at a client device and receiving input data from a user regarding a loan. In some embodiments, the input data may include the user's credit level and the current monthly payment, APR, and payoff amount associated with the user's current loan. The method further includes determining a saving amount based on a comparison of the input data with historical savings data accessible to the widget, and displaying the savings amount in the graphic user interface.

What is claimed is: 1. A method comprising: providing to a client device, from a widget database associated with a financial service provider, an advertisement widget as part of a webpage, the advertisement widget being configured to include a historical savings data table and a graphical user interface comprising a plurality of fields configured to receive financial characteristics data of a user associated with a current loan, the historical savings data table comprising average savings amounts for a plurality of potential loan characteristic combinations based on historical savings data of a plurality of consumers; authenticating, by a server associated with the financial service provider, the client device on a partner financial service provider website based on a partnership agreement with a financial organization, pre-populating, based on a successful authentication, in the advertisement widget, at least a portion of the user financial characteristics data; receiving, from the client device, user input data comprising at least one of a confirmation of the pre-populated user financial characteristics data or a correction of the pre-populated user financial characteristics data; comparing, by the financial service provider server, the user financial characteristics data to partner information accessed from the partner financial service provider website; providing, to the client device, based on a result of the comparing, an indication of an inconsistency or lack thereof between the user financial characteristics data and the partner information; determining a savings amount, via the financial service provider server, based on a comparison of a plurality of possible combinations of loan characteristics derived from user financial characteristics data against the plurality of potential loan characteristic combinations in the historical savings data table, the savings amount comprising one of an estimated savings amount or a savings amount range associated with a potential refinance loan; and providing, to the client device, data for displaying the determined savings amount. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the user financial characteristics data comprise at least one of a credit score, a monthly payment amount, annual percentage rate, or payoff amount associated with the current loan. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the historical savings data comprises loan data associated with customers of a financial service provider offering loan refinancing through the graphical user interface. 4. The method of claim 3 , wherein the historical savings data further comprises loan data associated with customers of at least one financial service provider not associated with the graphical user interface. 5. The method of claim 2 , wherein the user is provided various preset ranges to select each of the monthly payment amount, the credit score, the annual percentage rate, and the payoff amount associated with the current loan. 6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: pre-populating at least one of the plurality of fields based on financial data accessible to the client device. 7. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: providing an advertisement to the client device indicating an average savings associated with refinancing loans; and displaying the graphical user interface in response to a user interaction with the provided advertisement. 8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the received input data is not verified. 9. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: receiving, from the user, current loan data associated with a current loan provider; accessing loan data stored by the current loan provider associated with the current loan of the user; and verifying the received input data based on the accessed loan data. 10. A system comprising: a memory storing instructions; and a processor configured to execute the instructions to perform operations comprising: providing to a client device, from a widget database associated with a financial service provider, an advertisement widget as part of a webpage, the advertisement widget being configured to include a historical savings data table and the graphical user interface, the graphical user interface comprising a plurality of fields configured to receive financial characteristics data of the user associated with a current loan, the historical savings data table comprising average savings amounts for a plurality of potential loan characteristic combinations based on historical savings data of a plurality of consumers; authenticating, by the processor the client device on a partner financial service provider website based on a partnership agreement with a financial organization; pre-populating, based on successful authentication, in the advertisement widget, at least a portion of the user financial characteristics data; receiving, from the client device, user input data comprising at least one of a confirmation of the pre-populated user financial characteristics data or a correction of the pre-populated user financial characteristics data; comparing, by the processor, the user financial characteristics data to partner information accessed from the partner financial service provider website; providing, to the client device, based on the result of comparing, an indication of an inconsistency or lack thereof between the user financial characteristics data and the partner information; determining, by the processor, a savings amount, based on a comparison of a plurality of possible combinations of loan characteristics derived from user financial characteristics data against the plurality of potential loan characteristic combinations in the historical savings data table, the savings amount comprising one of an estimated savings amount or a savings amount range associated with a potential refinance loan; and providing, to the client device data for displaying, the determined savings amount. 11. The system of claim 10 , wherein the user financial characteristics data comprise at least one of a credit score, a monthly payment amount, annual percentage rate, or payoff amount associated with the current loan. 12. The system of claim 11 , wherein the historical savings data comprises loan data associated with customers of a financial service provider offering loan refinancing through the graphical user interface. 13. The system of claim 12 , wherein the historical savings data further comprises loan data associated with customers of at least one financial service provider not associated with the graphical user interface. 14. The system of claim 11 , wherein the user is provided various preset ranges to select for each of the monthly payment amount, the credit score, the annual percentage rate, and the payoff amount associated with the current loan. 15. The system of claim 10 , wherein the processor is configured to execute the instructions to perform operations further comprising: providing an advertisement to the client device indicating an average savings associated with refinancing loans; and displaying the graphical user interface in response to a user interaction with the provided advertisement. 16. The system of claim 10 , wherein the received input data is not verified. 17. The system of claim 10 , wherein the processor executes the instructions to perform operations further comprising: receiving, from the user, current loan data associated with a current loan provider; accessing loan data stored by the current loan provider associated with the current loan of the user; and verifying the received input data b
