A cage made of a resin includes: a small-diameter annular portion on one side in an axial direction; a large-diameter annular portion on the other side in the axial direction; and a plurality of column portions which link the small-diameter annular portion and the large-diameter annular portion to each other. Spaces which are formed between the large-diameter annular portion and the small-diameter annular portion and between the column portions adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction are pockets which hold the taper rollers. A surface of the entire cage including the small-diameter annular portion, the large-diameter annular portion, and all of the column portions is configured by aggregating a surface viewed from the one axial side and a surface viewed from the other axial side.

The invention claimed is: 1. A cage for a taper roller bearing comprising: a small-diameter annular portion that is disposed on one side in an axial direction; a large-diameter annular portion that is disposed on the other side in the axial direction; and a plurality of column portions that link the small-diameter annular portion and the large-diameter annular portion to each other, wherein the cage is made of a resin, wherein the cage has pockets that are spaces formed between the large-diameter annular portion and the small-diameter annular portion and between the column portions adjacent to each other in a circumferential direction, and are configured to hold a plurality of rolling elements respectively, wherein the plurality of rolling elements are tapered rollers, and wherein the cage includes a first roller retaining portion and a second roller retaining portion that each protrude outward from the plurality of column portions and that are outermost slide contact surfaces, the first roller retaining portion being provided on a small-diameter portion side of the column portions and the second roller retaining portion being provided on a large-diameter portion side of the column portions, and the first roller retaining portion including an arc surface portion. 2. The cage for the taper roller bearing according to claim 1 , wherein an inner surface in a radial direction of each of the column portions is positioned along a second virtual taper surface in the vicinity of a first virtual taper surface including center lines of a plurality of the taper rollers which are held in the pockets, across an entire length in a longitudinal direction of each of the column portions. 3. The cage for the taper roller bearing according to claim 2 , wherein the second virtual taper surface has a smaller diameter than the first virtual taper surface. 4. The cage for the taper roller bearing according to claim 1 , wherein an inner surface in the radial direction of each of the column portions has a shape along a taper surface of which a diameter increases as approaching the other side from the one side, and wherein grooves are formed on the inner surface, each of the grooves extending along the longitudinal direction of each of the column portions and being opened on the other side. 5. The cage for the taper roller bearing according to claim 4 , wherein the grooves are not opened on the one side. 6. The cage for the taper roller bearing according to claim 1 , wherein recess portions that are recessed in the radial direction so as to allow adjacent pockets to communicate with each other are provided on an outer side in the radial direction of each of the column portions, and wherein each of the recess portions has a shape of which a depth of an end on the one side is zero and a bottom surface of the recess portion extends in the radial direction as the recess portion extends toward the other side. 7. The cage for the taper roller bearing according to claim 1 , wherein the cage includes a slide contact surface that is slidably in contact with an inner circumferential surface of an outer ring so as to position the cage with respect to the radial direction. 8. A taper roller bearing comprising: an inner ring; an outer ring; a plurality of rolling elements that are positioned between the inner ring and the outer ring; and an annular cage that holds the plurality of rolling elements at an interval in the circumferential direction, wherein the cage is the cage according to claim 1 . 9. The cage for the taper roller bearing according to claim 1 , wherein the second roller retaining portion is discontinuous with the large-diameter annular portion.
