In particular embodiments, a social networking system queries a social graph of the social-networking system for social content associated with video content provided to one or more users of the social-networking system and accesses privacy settings associated with each of the one or more users. The privacy settings indicate whether a particular user has authorized the social-networking system to share social content associated with the particular user with one or more third parties. The social networking system provides the social content associated with video content provided to the one or more users to a particular third party if the privacy settings of the one or more users indicate that the one or more users have authorized the social-networking system to share the social content with one or more third parties.

What is claimed is: 1. A method comprising: by one or more computer systems, querying a graph for comments, stories, and posts generated by a plurality of users, the comments, stories, and posts about a particular video being watched by the plurality of users; by the one or more computer systems, accessing respective privacy settings associated with each of the plurality of users, the privacy settings indicating whether a particular user has authorized the sharing of comments, stories, and posts associated with the particular user with one or more third parties; and by the one or more computer systems, providing aggregated comments, stories, and posts about the particular video being watched by the plurality of users to a particular third party if the privacy settings of the plurality of users indicate that they have authorized the sharing of their comments, stories, and posts with one or more third parties, the aggregated comments, stories, and posts about the particular video being provided to the particular third party in real time while the particular video is being watched by the plurality of users. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the particular third party comprises an advertiser or maker of a product that was advertised in the particular video being watched by the plurality of users. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the particular video comprises a movie, a television program, or an advertisement. 4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: by the one or more computer systems, determining a total number of users who watched at least a portion of the particular video; and by the one or more computer systems, providing the determined total number of users who watched at least a portion of the particular video to the particular third party. 5. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: by the one or more computer systems, determining demographics of users who watched at least a portion of the particular video; and by the one or more computer systems, providing the determined demographics of users who watched at least a portion of the particular video to the particular third party. 6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: by the one or more computer systems, determining a rating of the particular video; and by the one or more computer systems, providing the determined rating of the particular video to the particular third party. 7. One or more computer-readable non-transitory storage media in one or more computing systems, the media embodying logic that is operable when executed to: query a graph for comments, stories, and posts generated by a plurality of users, the comments, stories, and posts about a particular video being watched by the plurality of users; access respective privacy settings associated with each of the plurality of users, the privacy settings indicating whether a particular user has authorized the sharing of comments, stories, and posts associated with the particular user with one or more third parties; and provide aggregated comments, stories, and posts about the particular video being watched by the plurality of users to a particular third party if the privacy settings of the plurality of users indicate that they have authorized the sharing of their comments, stories, and posts with one or more third parties, the aggregated comments, stories, and posts about the particular video being provided to the particular third party in real time while the particular video is being watched by the plurality of users. 8. The media of claim 7 , wherein the particular third party comprises an advertiser or maker of a product that was advertised in the articular video being watched by the plurality of users. 9. The media of claim 7 , wherein the particular video comprises a movie, a television program, or an advertisement. 10. The media of claim 7 , the logic further operable when executed to: determine a total number of users who watched at least a portion of the particular video; and provide the determined total number of users who watched at least a portion of the particular video to the particular third party. 11. The media of claim 7 , the logic further operable when executed to: determine demographics of users who watched at least a portion of the particular video; and provide the determined demographics of users who watched at least a portion of the particular video to the particular third party. 12. The media of claim 7 , the logic further operable when executed to: determine a rating of the particular video; and provide the determined rating of the particular video to the particular third party. 13. A system comprising: one or more memory devices; and a processor communicatively coupled to the one or more memory devices, the processor operable to: query a graph for comments, stories, and posts generated by a plurality of users, the comments, stories, and posts about a particular video being watched by the plurality of users; access respective privacy settings associated with each of the plurality of users, the privacy settings indicating whether a particular user has authorized the sharing of comments, stories, and posts associated with the particular user with one or more third parties; and provide aggregated comments, stories, and posts about the particular video being watched by the plurality of users to a particular third party if the privacy settings of the plurality of users indicate that they have authorized the sharing of their comments, stories, and posts with one or more third parties, the aggregated comments, stories, and posts about the particular video being provided to the particular third party in real time while the particular video is being watched by the plurality of users. 14. The system of claim 13 , wherein the particular third party comprises an advertiser or maker of a product that was advertised in the particular video being watched by the plurality of users. 15. The system of claim 13 , wherein the particular video comprises a movie, a television program, or an advertisement. 16. The system of claim 13 , the processor further operable to: determine a total number of users who watched at least a portion of the particular video; and provide the determined total number of users who watched at least a portion of the particular video to the particular third party. 17. The system of claim 13 , the processor further operable to: determine demographics of users who watched at least a portion of the particular video; and provide the determined demographics of users who watched at least a portion of the particular video the particular third party.
