The invention claimed is: 1. A gaming system comprising: a mechanical symbol generator associated with a plurality of indicators; a display device; a processor; and a memory device which stores a plurality of instructions, which when executed by the processor following an occurrence of a triggering event, cause the processor to: determine a first parameter of a play of a game associated with the mechanical symbol generator, wherein the first parameter comprises a quantity of the indicators activated for the play of the game, determine a second parameter of the play of the game associated with the mechanical symbol generator, select, based on the determined first parameter and the determined second parameter, a probability table selected from a plurality of different probability tables, randomly determine, based on the selected probability table, a position of the mechanical symbol generator, cause the mechanical symbol generator to move to the randomly determined position, and cause the display device to display an outcome associated with the mechanical symbol generator moved to the randomly determined position and at least one activated indicator of the plurality of indicators. 2. The gaming system of claim 1 , wherein the quantity of the indicators activated for the play of the game is based the occurrence of the triggering event. 3. The gaming system of claim 2 , wherein the triggering event is one of a plurality of triggering events, a first one of the triggering events is associated with a first quantity of the indicators activated for the play of the game and a second, different one of the triggering events is associated with a second, different quantity of the indicators activated for the play of the game. 4. The gaming system of claim 1 , wherein the second parameter comprises a wager amount placed. 5. The gaming system of claim 1 , wherein a first one of the probability tables is selected based on a first first parameter and a first second parameter and a second one of the probability tables is selected based on a second first parameter and the first second parameter. 6. The gaming system of claim 1 , wherein the mechanical symbol generator comprises a mechanical wheel comprising a plurality of sections associated with a plurality of symbols. 7. The gaming system of claim 1 , further comprising an acceptor, wherein when executed by the processor, the plurality of instructions cause the processor to, responsive to a physical item being received via the acceptor, establish a credit balance based on a monetary value associated with the received physical item, and responsive to a cashout input being received, cause an initiation of any payout associated with the credit balance. 8. A method of operating a gaming system, said method comprising: determining, by a processor, a first parameter of a play of a game associated with a mechanical symbol generator associated with a plurality of indicators, wherein the first parameter comprises a quantity of the indicators activated for the play of the game, determining, by the processor, a second parameter of the play of the game associated with the mechanical symbol generator, selecting, by the processor and based on the determined first parameter and the determined second parameter, a probability table selected from a plurality of different probability tables, randomly determining, by the processor and based on the selected probability table, a position of the mechanical symbol generator, causing the mechanical symbol generator to move to the randomly determined position, and displaying, by a display device, an outcome associated with the mechanical symbol generator moved to the randomly determined position and at least one activated indicator of the plurality of indicators. 9. The method of claim 8 , wherein the quantity of the indicators activated for the play of the game is based the occurrence of the triggering event. 10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the triggering event is one of a plurality of triggering events, a first one of the triggering events is associated with a first quantity of the indicators activated for the play of the game and a second, different one of the triggering events is associated with a second, different quantity of the indicators activated for the play of the game. 11. The method of claim 8 , wherein the second parameter comprises a wager amount placed. 12. The method of claim 8 , wherein a first one of the probability tables is selected based on a first first parameter and a first second parameter and a second one of the probability tables is selected based on a second first parameter and the first second parameter. 13. The method of claim 8 , wherein the mechanical symbol generator comprises a mechanical wheel comprising a plurality of sections associated with a plurality of symbols. 14. The method of claim 8 , wherein a credit balance is increasable based on any award associated with the display outcome, said credit balance being increasable via an acceptor of a physical item associated with a monetary value, and said credit balance being decreasable responsive to a cashout input. 15. A gaming system comprising: a processor; and a memory device which stores a plurality of instructions, which when executed by the processor following an occurrence of a triggering event, cause the processor to: determine a first parameter of a play of a game associated with a mechanical symbol generator associated with a plurality of indicators, wherein the first parameter comprises a quantity of the indicators activated for the play of the game, determine a second parameter of the play of the game associated with the mechanical symbol generator, select, based on the determined first parameter and the determined second parameter, a probability table selected from a plurality of different probability tables, randomly determine, based on the selected probability table, a position of the mechanical symbol generator, communicate data which results in the mechanical symbol generator moving to the randomly determined position, and communicate data which results in a display, by a display device, of an outcome associated with the mechanical symbol generator moved to the randomly determined position and at least one activated indicator of the plurality of indicators. 16. The gaming system of claim 15 , wherein the quantity of the indicators activated for the play of the game is based the occurrence of the triggering event. 17. The gaming system of claim 16 , wherein the triggering event is one of a plurality of triggering events, a first one of the triggering events is associated with a first quantity of the indicators activated for the play of the game and a second, different one of the triggering events is associated with a second, different quantity of the indicators activated for the play of the game. 18. The gaming system of claim 15 , wherein the second parameter comprises a wager amount placed. 19. The gaming system of claim 15 , wherein a first one of the probability tables is selected based on a first first parameter and a first second parameter and a second one of the probability tables is selected based on a second first parameter and the first second parameter.
