The present invention relates to substituted 2-[2-halogenalkyl-4-(phenoxy)-phenyl]-1-[1,2,4]triazol-1-yl-ethanol compounds of formula I as defined in the description, and the N-oxides, and salts thereof, their preparation and intermediates for preparing them. The invention also relates to the use of these compounds for combating harmful fungi and seed coated with at least one such compound and also to compositions comprising at least one such compound.
First claim

We claim: 1. A compound of formula or an N-oxide or an agriculturally acceptable salt thereof. 2. An agrochemical composition comprising an auxiliary and the compound of claim 1 , the N-oxide or the agriculturally acceptable salt thereof. 3. The composition according to claim 2 , comprising an active substance additional to the compound, the N-oxide or the agriculturally acceptable salt thereof. 4. A method for combating phytopathogenic fungi, comprising: treating the fungi or the materials, plants, the soil or seeds to be protected against fungal attack with an effective amount of the compound of claim 1 , the N-oxide or the agriculturally acceptable salt thereof. 5. Seed coated with at least one compound of claim 1 , the N-oxide or the agriculturally acceptable salt thereof, in an amount of from 0.1 g to 10 kg per 100 kg of seed.
