A sheet conveying device, which is incorporated in an image forming apparatus, includes a first detector to detect an angle deviation of a recording medium to a sheet conveying direction, a second detector to detect a lateral shift of the recording medium to a width direction, a third detector to detect at least one of the angle deviation and the lateral shift after correction of the angle deviation detected by the first detector and the lateral shift detected by the second detector, and a rotary body to perform a primary movement by (1) rotating in the sheet conveying direction and returning to a reference position and by (2) moving in the width direction and returning to the reference position, and a secondary movement by performing at least one of (1) and (2) after the primary movement.

What is claimed is: 1. A sheet conveying device comprising: a sheet conveyer configured to convey a sheet in a sheet conveying direction; an upstream detector configured to detect at least a side edge of the sheet; a downstream detector positioned downstream from the upstream detector in the sheet conveying direction, the downstream detector configured to detect the side edge of the sheet; a pair of rotary bodies positioned, in the sheet conveying direction, downstream from the upstream detector and upstream from the downstream detector, the pair of rotary bodies configured to correct a deviation of the sheet; and a controller configured to control the pair of rotary bodies to rotate, while holding the sheet, in a rotational direction parallel to a plane of the sheet based on a position of the sheet detected by both the upstream detector and the downstream detector while the sheet is held by the pair of rotary bodies. 2. The sheet conveying device according to claim 1 , wherein the pair of rotary bodies are connected to a common shaft, the pair of rotary bodies configured to convey the sheet while rotating in the rotational direction based on rotation of the common shaft, the pair of rotary bodies including a driving roller and a driven roller, the driving roller being driven by a driving motor and the driven roller being driven by the driving roller. 3. The sheet conveying device according to claim 1 , wherein the deviation is a shift of the sheet in the rotational direction of the sheet. 4. The sheet conveying device according to claim 1 , wherein the pair of rotary bodies are configured to correct the deviation of the sheet by moving, while holding the sheet, in a lateral direction based on the position of the sheet detected by the upstream detector and the downstream detector. 5. The sheet conveying device according to claim 4 , wherein the deviation includes both a shift of the sheet in the lateral direction of the sheet and a shift of the sheet in the rotational direction of the sheet. 6. The sheet conveying device according to claim 4 , wherein the pair of rotary bodies are connected to a common shaft, the pair of rotary bodies configured to convey the sheet while moving in the lateral direction and rotating in the rotational direction based on rotation of the common shaft, the pair of rotary bodies including a driving roller and a driven roller, the driving roller being driven by a driving motor and the driven roller being driven by the driving roller. 7. The sheet conveying device according to claim 4 , wherein the pair of rotary bodies is configured to perform a feedback control while the pair of rotary bodies is conveying the sheet based on the position of the sheet detected by the upstream detector and the downstream detector. 8. An image forming apparatus comprising: an image forming part; and the sheet conveying device according to claim 4 . 9. The sheet conveying device according to claim 1 , wherein the pair of rotary bodies is configured to perform a feedback control while the pair of rotary bodies is conveying the sheet based on the position of the sheet detected by the upstream detector and the downstream detector. 10. The sheet conveying device according to claim 1 , wherein the pair of rotary bodies includes a pair of timing rollers configured to convey the sheet to a sheet holding device, the sheet holding device being downstream of the sheet conveying device. 11. An image forming apparatus comprising: an image forming part; and the sheet conveying device according to claim 1 . 12. The sheet conveying device according to claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to control the pair of rotary bodies to rotate, while holding the sheet, in the rotational direction parallel to the plane of the sheet by instructing the pair of rotary bodies to, perform a first rotation, while holding the sheet, in the rotational direction based on the position of the sheet detected at a first time by the upstream detector and the downstream detector, and perform a second rotation, while holding the sheet, in the rotational direction based on the position of the sheet detected at a second time by the upstream detector and the downstream detector, the second time being subsequent to the first time. 13. A sheet conveying device comprising: a sheet conveyer configured to convey a sheet in a sheet conveying direction; a first detector downstream from the sheet conveyer in the sheet conveying direction, the first detector configured to detect at least a side edge of the sheet; a second detector downstream from the sheet conveyer in the sheet conveying direction, the second detector configured to detect the side edge of the sheet; and a pair of rotary bodies positioned downstream from the second detector in the sheet conveying direction, the pair of rotary bodies configured to correct a deviation of the sheet by rotating in a first rotational direction parallel to a plane of the sheet before holding the sheet and rotating in a second rotational direction parallel to the plane of the sheet after holding the sheet based on a position of the sheet detected by the first detector and the second detector, the second rotational direction being opposite the first rotational direction. 14. The sheet conveying device according to claim 13 , wherein the pair of rotary bodies are configured to correct the deviation of the sheet by moving, while holding the sheet, in a lateral direction based on the position of the sheet detected by the first detector and the second detector. 15. The sheet conveying device according to claim 14 , wherein the pair of rotary bodies are connected to a common shaft, the pair of rotary bodies configured to convey the sheet while moving in the lateral direction and rotating based on rotation of the common shaft, the pair of rotary bodies including a driving roller and a driven roller, the driving roller being driven by a driving motor and the driven roller being driven by the driving roller. 16. The sheet conveying device according to claim 14 , wherein the deviation includes both the shift of the sheet in a lateral direction of the sheet and the shift of the sheet in a rotational direction of the sheet. 17. The sheet conveying device according to claim 14 , further comprising: a controller configured to control the pair of rotary bodies to correct the deviation of the sheet. 18. An image forming apparatus comprising: an image forming part; and the sheet conveying device according to claim 14 . 19. The sheet conveying device according to claim 13 , wherein the pair of rotary bodies are connected to a common shaft, the pair of rotary bodies configured to convey the sheet while rotating based on rotation of the common shaft, the pair of rotary bodies including a driving roller and a driven roller, the driving roller being driven by a driving motor and the driven roller being driven by the driving roller. 20. The sheet conveying device according to claim 13 , wherein the deviation is a shift of the sheet in a rotational direction of the sheet. 21. The sheet conveying device according to claim 13 , further comprising: a controller configured to control the pair of rotary bodies to correct the deviation of the sheet. 22. The sheet conveying device according to claim 13 , wherein the pair of rotary bodies includes a pair of timing rollers configured to convey the sheet to a sheet holding device, the sheet holding device being downstream of the sheet c
