What is claimed is: 1. An apparatus, comprising: a computing device base used to convert a tablet into a laptop-type computing device, the computing device base includes a scoop, wherein the scoop comprises a concave partially cylindrical section substantially extending along the length of one side of the computing device base suitable for receiving a barrel portion extending along a side edge of a computing device, wherein the computing device base includes a computer keyboard and at least a first concave metallic partial band integrated within the scoop, the first concave metallic partial band comprising a rib segment; and, at least a first wiping contact on a first side of the rib segment, wherein the wiping contact is capable of receiving a power signal. 2. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the barrel portion is comprised by a computing device and comprises a similar diameter and length as the scoop. 3. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the rib segment protrudes out from the surface of the first concave metallic partial band. 4. The apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the first concave metallic partial band is at least partially magnetic. 5. The apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the rib segment further comprises at least a first tooth protruding out of the rib segment. 6. The apparatus of claim 5 , wherein the first tooth protruding out of a location at the center of the rib segment. 7. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the wiping contact is electrically isolated from a remaining portion of the rib segment. 8. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the computing device comprises a casing to be capable of a rotational motion around an axis of the barrel portion when the barrel portion is located in the scoop. 9. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the computing device comprises a casing which includes a flat portion to house a display. 10. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the keyboard is disposed on a first side of the computing device base, the first side including the scoop. 11. The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the scoop causes the keyboard to tilt in relationship to a flat surface in response to the computing device base being placed on the flat surface with the keyboard facing up.
