A reciprocating saw blade that includes an elongated blade body defining an inner end and a distal end, a cutting edge located on one side of the blade body and extending between the inner and distal ends thereof and a tang located at the inner end of the blade body. The tang projects from the blade body at an acute angle of at least about 3° relative to a line tangent to an inner end of the cutting edge. The cutting edge includes a portion defining a substantially curved contour and optionally can include at least one further portion defining a non-curved contour.

What is claimed is: 1. A reciprocating saw blade, comprising: an elongated blade body defining an inner end and a distal end; a tang located at the inner end of the blade body; a cutting edge located on one side of the blade body and an opposing edge located on an opposite side of the blade body, the cutting edge and the opposing edge each extending from the inner end of the blade body to the distal end of the blade body, the cutting edge comprising: a first cutting edge portion comprising a first substantially straight cutting edge extending from the inner end of the blade body to a second cutting edge portion; the second cutting edge portion disposed adjacent the first cutting edge portion and comprising a concave curved cutting edge extending from the first cutting edge portion to a third cutting edge portion and curved in a concave direction toward the opposing edge of the blade body; and the third cutting edge portion comprising a second substantially straight cutting edge extending from the second cutting edge portion to the distal end of the blade body. 2. The reciprocating saw blade of claim 1 , wherein the opposing edge is a non-working edge of the blade body. 3. The reciprocating saw blade of claim 2 , wherein the non-working edge extends from the tang towards the distal end. 4. The reciprocating saw blade of claim 1 , wherein the tang comprises an elongated bottom edge projecting therefrom at an acute tang angle relative to a line tangent to an inner end of the cutting edge at the inner end of the blade body. 5. The reciprocating saw blade of claim 4 , wherein the acute tang angle is at least about 3°. 6. The reciprocating saw blade of claim 4 , wherein the acute tang angle is within a range of about 3° to about 8°. 7. The reciprocating saw blade of claim 4 , wherein the acute tang angle orients the cutting edge such that an entirety of the cutting edge from the inner end of the blade body to the distal end is angled downwardly relative to the elongated bottom edge of the tang. 8. The reciprocating saw blade of claim 7 , wherein the curved cutting edge of the second cutting edge portion increases the angle downwardly relative to the elongated bottom edge of the tang. 9. The reciprocating saw blade of claim 1 , wherein the first cutting edge portion defines an innermost portion of the cutting edge. 10. The reciprocating saw blade of claim 1 , wherein the third cutting edge portion extends to the distal end of the blade body. 11. The reciprocating saw blade of claim 1 , wherein the second cutting edge portion curves in the concave direction a maximum distance toward or in the direction of the opposing edge of the blade body within a range of about 0.030 inches to about 0.200 inches. 12. A reciprocating saw blade as defined in claim 11 , wherein the maximum distance corresponds to an approximately middle point of the second cutting edge portion. 13. A reciprocating saw blade, comprising: an elongated blade body defining an inner end and a distal end; a tang located at the inner end of the blade body; a cutting edge located on one side of the blade body, the cutting edge comprising: a first cutting edge portion comprising a first substantially non-curved cutting edge extending from the inner end to a second cutting edge portion; the second cutting edge portion disposed adjacent the first cutting edge portion and comprising a concave curved cutting edge extending from the first cutting edge portion to the third cutting edge portion; and the third cutting edge portion comprising a second substantially non-curved cutting edge extending from the second cutting edge portion to the distal end of the blade body. 14. The reciprocating saw blade of claim 13 , wherein the tang comprises an elongated bottom edge projecting therefrom at an acute tang angle relative to a line tangent to an inner end of the cutting edge at the inner end of the blade body, wherein the acute tang angle is at least about 3°. 15. The reciprocating saw blade of claim 14 , wherein the acute tang angle orients the cutting edge such that an entirety of the cutting edge from the inner end of the blade body to the distal end is angled downwardly relative to the elongated bottom edge of the tang. 16. The reciprocating saw blade of claim 13 , wherein the first cutting edge portion defines an innermost portion of the cutting edge and wherein the third cutting edge portion extends to the distal end of the blade body. 17. The reciprocating saw blade of claim 13 , wherein the first cutting edge portion extends to the inner end of the blade body. 18. The reciprocating saw blade of claim 13 , wherein the concave curved cutting edge is curved toward or in a direction of an opposing edge of the blade body. 19. The reciprocating saw blade of claim 18 , wherein the opposing edge is a non-working edge of the blade body, wherein the non-working edge extends from the tang towards the distal end. 20. A reciprocating saw blade, comprising: an elongated blade body defining an inner end and a distal end; a tang located at the inner end of the blade body; a cutting edge located on one side of the blade body, extending from the inner end of the blade body to the distal end of the blade body, the cutting edge comprising: a first cutting edge portion comprising a first substantially straight cutting edge extending from the inner end of the blade body to a second cutting edge portion; the second cutting edge portion disposed adjacent the first cutting edge portion and comprising a concave curved cutting edge extending from the first cutting edge portion to a third cutting edge portion and curved toward a second edge opposite the cutting edge of the blade body; and a third cutting edge portion comprising a second substantially straight cutting edge extending from the second cutting edge portion to the distal end of the blade body.
