A method of manufacturing a washer capable of improving a material yield is provided. The method includes: a preparation step of preparing a longitudinal member which includes an upper corrugated portion and a lower corrugated portion including crest portions formed on at least one of an upper surface and a lower surface and valley portions continuous to the crest portions in the right-left direction; and a deformation step of deforming the longitudinal member such that the upper surface and the lower surface are arcuate as viewed in the direction from the front to the rear.

The invention claimed is: 1. A washer, comprising: a corrugated portion including a crest portion on each of an outer peripheral surface and an inner peripheral surface and a respective valley portion continuous to each crest portion in a circumferential direction, wherein the respective crest portion has a mountain shape as viewed in a thickness direction, and the respective valley portion has a valley shape as viewed in a thickness direction, the washer configured to receive a load in an axial direction from a shaft member and to slide with respect to the shaft member, and having a flat plate shape, and having a semi-annular shape as viewed in a thickness direction. 2. A method of manufacturing the washer according to claim 1 , comprising: a preparation step of preparing a longitudinal member which includes a corrugated portion that has a crest portion formed on each of one side surface and another side surface in a lateral direction so as to protrude outward as viewed in one direction orthogonal to the lateral direction and to the longitudinal direction and a valley portion continuous to the crest portion in a longitudinal direction so as to be recessed inward as viewed in the one direction, the crest portion formed on the one side surface and the valley portion formed on the other side surface having identical shapes, and the valley portion formed on the one side surface and the crest portion formed on the other surface having identical shapes; and a deformation step of deforming the longitudinal member such that the one side surface and the other side surface are arcuate as viewed in the one direction. 3. The method of manufacturing a washer according to claim 2 , wherein the corrugated portion is formed to extend from one end to the other end in the longitudinal direction on at least one of the one side surface and the other side surface of the longitudinal member prepared in the preparation step. 4. The method of manufacturing a washer according claim 2 , wherein the valley portions of the longitudinal member prepared in the preparation step are formed such that a tip portion of the valley portions have an arc shape as viewed in the one direction. 5. The method of manufacturing a washer according to claim 2 , wherein the corrugated portion of the longitudinal member prepared in the preparation step is formed into a sinusoidal shape as viewed in the one direction. 6. The method of manufacturing a washer according to claim 2 , wherein in the deformation step, the longitudinal member is deformed so that the corrugated portion is disposed at least on an outer peripheral side. 7. The method of manufacturing a washer according to claim 2 , wherein the one side surface and the other side surface of the longitudinal member prepared in the preparation step are formed such that a distance along the lateral direction from the one side surface to the other side surface is constant from one end to another end of the longitudinal member in the longitudinal direction. 8. The method of manufacturing a washer according to claim 2 , wherein the longitudinal member prepared in the preparation step includes a bimetal material made of a plurality of different metallic materials.
